one for all :-)

As in a title, I wanted something really minimalist, and weigh next to nothing. I use to go mostly to short trips in Cairngorms, and along the coast; both on foot and on bicycle. As I carry everything on my back, it's important that MSR Titanium Kettle is very light, and much more than just kettle. I had a coffee in the morning, and I drunk straight from it. In the end, it's all I carry now for cooking, so it fulfilled my requirements exactly. I like folding handle - nothing easy to loose.

Super-lightweight tea for two
Reviewed By Geoff, 02 Sep 2013

Bought this in conjunction with a couple of the lifeventure titanium mugs. It has seen some serious use on our regular walking and camping trips, even if just out for the day, you really don't notice it is even there its so light. I can fit one of the mugs with my MSR Pocket Rocket inside the kettle.

Makes two decent sized cups of tea/coffee. Only thing I would say is that you have to be careful how you pack it to ensure it doesn't get pushed slightly out of shape around the rim as the lid doesn't fit tightly. We put a narrow strap around ours (around the top and bottom) to keep the lid in place in transit, this also help to keep its shape when packed in a rucksack and bashed around!

Expensive, but worth it for the negligible weight gain and ability to make a quick fresh brew on the trail.
