Reasonable, but not outstanding
Reviewed By Donald, 25 Jun 2014

A few observations on these shoes;

- There's no stiffening, so you can feel what you're walking on as if you were wearing trainers. Whilst this could be good for scrambling it might get wearing over broken, rocky surfaces.

- I found them quite warm. In 14 Celsius 'British Summer' weather I was getting damp feet from perspiration.

- Waterproofing seems to be OK, but you may still get damp socks from sweat...

- Build quality is reasonable, the toe and heel bumpers do their bit to stop damage, but quality control may be suspect - my pair came with laces which were falling apart and one of the footbeds won't stay put on its own.

Overall I would say they're fair value at £40 for day to day wear and family outings, but you might want to look elsewhere if you're planning anything more ambitious.
