Product Information

The Crushable Outdoor Hat from Ayacucho is a fedora style inspired hat with a teardrop shaped crown with pinched front. It has a wide brim to keep you protected from the sun and two ventilation holes on each side help keep you cool and comfortable. As the name would suggest this hat can be packed down into a suitcase without having to worry as it won't lose its shape even when it has been squashed amongst the rest of your belongings in transit.

Why does it not have a strap or cord? It can blow off in a strong wind.

The hat's crush-ability for packing.
You could add a simple, possibly detachable, chin strap or cord for hill walking in high winds.

Good fit. Much more stylish than a standard flat brimmed hat.
Nearly lost it on Mount Etna; could do with a chin strap.
