Ultimate mountaineering parka

The Men's Extrem 7000 Belay Parka delivers huge amounts of warmth in a robust weather-resistant design. Sometimes you just need that piece of equipment to turn to for warmth, security and comfort. Whether you're waiting at a belay or starting the day off cold, this jacket is the option you want to have in your rucksack.

Body-mapped insulation provides key warmth distribution that continues to perform under extreme conditions without ever compromising your goals. Hydroloft Elite Pro provides superb warmth while being a weather resistant, extremely robust and durable insulation. Stitch-through details in the body help hold the insulation in place.

The Pertex Endurance fabric has a polyurethane coating, ensuring that it is weather resistant, windproof and durable. A denser fabric is used in key abrasion areas across the shoulders, arms and hood. Performance tailoring across the jacket allows for dynamic body movement while climbing and belaying.

Features include a fully adjustable, helmet-compatible hood with adjustment around the front of the face and rear of the head. The peak of hood is stiffened with micro wire and an internal stretch gaiter grips your helmet to prevent cold air entry. Low-profile snug cuffs provide a comfortable feel while on the move.

Excellent quality product from Berghaus as always. Good fit and a hood which fully covers you from the rain and can also be used with a helmet. The chest pockets are well-designed and useful for gloves or a hat. Warm enough for winter when used with a decent midlayer, yet light enough for autumn and spring showers as weĺl. Would be sufficient to stand up to a fairly big storm.

Super warmth from this jacket looks good and stands a good shower.
Would benefit from a draw cord around the waist area to help the fit and the hood is huge which is great if your wearing an oversized helmet all day,
(Better adjusters on the hood would improve visibility when in use)
