This is the perfect jacket for walking!
Reviewed By Tony, 04 Jan 2014

As one would expect with a Goretex jacket, this is waterproof and windproof, but so are lots of other jackets. The big advantage of Goretex is that it adds breathability, so that you don't sweat.

The jacket is long, as the name suggests. So many jackets these days only come to the hips. As the water runs off them, your trousers will get soaked unless you're also wearing waterproof ones. With this jacket, it comes down to the thighs, so the water runs off much lower down, which is much better.

The hood is well designed too. It is a wired brim, so you can shape it to suit. It can be pulled in at the back and at the sides, so that it fits snugly. This combination is ideal if you wear glasses, because you can adjust to minimise the rain that gets on them.

Ok, I'm concentrating on the jacket's capabilities in wet weather, but it seems to have rained every day since I bought it. At least I can say with confidence that it is perfect for wet weather!
