A women's-specific pole that's equally suited to casual weekend jaunts and extended backpacking trips, the Black Diamond Women's Trail Trekking Pole expertly balances comfort, features and affordability.

The women's-specific size and grip and plush-lined padded strap account for the female form, while the dual FlickLocks provide total adjustability to suit the terrain at hand. The pole's interchangeable carbide Tech Tips can easily be swapped for rubber Tech Tips (sold separately) to deal with variable trail surfaces.

Newcastle upon Tyne Enthusiast
My previous poles were Leki poles that kept collapsing mid walk and occasionally sticking so that they couldn't be adjusted. These have a far superior fixing mechanism (so far) and are light and strong.

Lightweight and fold down to fit into my suitcase. They feel very sturdy and secure.
Locks are quite stiff and hard to close.

Easy to fold away
The first time I used them was on a 75 walk (Cumbria Way) and the screws on the right pole weren't tight enough so that pole kept shrinking. I had to find a screwdriver mid-walk to tighten. Also the straps are on the wrong poles which have the right/left marking so I used them the wrong way round - right one in left hand, and vice versa
