Worked brilliant when walking up snowdon at the end of April. Wasn't expecting it but they were a life saver in the snow. Stopped me slipping on the ice. Great product.
Had to really tighten the lower part of the pole as when pressure was applied they would slip but once tightened they were fine.

They were a good price.
When our son used the poles for the first time on a Gold Duke of Edinburgh practice walk on Dartmoor the poles became shorter and shorter as the day wore on. He ended up looking like Toulouse L'Trec towards the end of the walk! Very difficult to tighten to the point where they aren't able to work loose easily. We wished now we had paid a little bit more for better quality poles.
