Product Information

The original soft shell and arguably still the best!

Cut from a slightly lighter Pertex fabric than the now-famous Special 6 shirt. It is most effective when worn next-to-the-skin, as the AquaTherm pile lining draws moisture away from the body and into the tightly woven outer shell where it spreads out and evaporates. This constant movement of water away from the body - coupled with AquaTherm's ability to insulate even when wet - means it doesn't need to be completely waterproof to ensure your warmth and comfort. This in turn allows it to be extremely breathable as well as reliable in even the very worst of conditions.

For best performance, buy a snug fit: cold spots are eliminated and the wicking fabric has maximum contact with your skin.

Please note that some items from Buffalo are made to order. Our delivery estimate for these items is currently 35 to 40 working days but during busy periods it may take a little longer for items to reach you.

Warm
I feel the fit does not really reflect actual size of garment, in reality I'm a size 42 but having had previous experience of a Buffalo Mountain shirt from the mid eighties I fortunately ordered a size 44 & it fits me like a 42 (unless I've put on weight)! Not a bad point as you suggest in your title for this section above & certainly not a complaint. Had I ordered a 42 I would had a tighter squeeze.
