- the fabric is FAWN skin-colour polymer good for being inconspicuous in open country also compatible worn in urban shopping trips; very fine weave, less likely to tear caught on brambles and barbed wire. The pockets are NOT lined with mesh - very important for security of sharp items like keys. The stiffness of the weave adequate so helps modesty if worn in a hurry without underclothing. The leg-length good combined with the leg-opening sufficient to pull on in a hurry over walking boots.
- The main side-pockets need to be inserted and now not good in length to give security and keep nature of content less obvious . They are not wide enough. Pockets that disclose content like patch-pockets invite pick-pockets. Back-patch pockets need to be sized for a wallet or card-purse, also fixed shut by a touch-contact strip, not adequate security now. Pocket material needs to be heavier gauge synthetic weave to protect legs from getting rubbed by keys also to keep sweets dry so not becoming sticky. Each side of leg needs a small extra shallow inserted non-patch-pocket low down with a very secure ZIP fastening for a car-key that must not be visible nor insecure so it might get lost. The lowdown pocket and side pocket needs to be secure - major factor in choice of product. Zip-fly not wide enough cover fabric and belt not adequate top-fixing by hook or button at level of belt. Belt-loops not fitted are often useful.
