How much is the airmail postage?
The postage starts from £10 and increases as the value of the goods increase. By placing an order on the website, the postage will be calculated for you.
Weight/size restrictions
- Our normal UK services are limited to 30kg and 1.5m in length or 3m length and girth combined
- We can send larger items within the UK up to 2.5m in length; please call for a quote
- Our European services are limited to 30kg and 1.5m in length or 3m length and girth combined in most countries. For more details please visit www.parcelforce.com/countries
- Our international services outside Europe are dependant on size and weight and the prices above are intended as a guide to cover the vast majority of consignments
BFPO deliveries
We send all BFPO deliveries to Commercial Receipts via Parcel Force where they then distribute to the correct locations.
- The BFPO service is strictly limited to 2kg and 1.05m in length or 2.0m length and girth combined per consignment. It may be necessary to split your order into multiple consignments where these criteria are exceeded*
- Please allow up to 6 weeks for delivery for your parcel to pass through the BFPO system
- Please ensure you select 'BFPO' from the Country drop down field when entering your address.
- Failure to do this can result in your parcel being miss-routed and may cause long delays
- For BFPO destinations that are exempt from VAT the prices will be adjusted by us after your order has been placed. It is essential that you have selected 'BFPO' from the country drop down field for this to occur. We cannot apply retrospective refunds for VAT once your order has been dispatched
APFO deliveries
Cotswold Outdoor Ltd is currently unable to send goods to American Forces Post Office (AFPO) addresses. Should you wish to order goods from us for delivery to a Non-British Forces Military address outside the UK please contact us prior to placing any orders to discuss alternative delivery addresses.
We are able to accept orders to be sent to Military addresses of the Armed Forces of European Union Nations within Europe but not to addresses outside the EU.
*If your order exceeds certain weight and or size criteria we may need to apply a further charge to cover multiple consignments. However, we will contact you before doing this.
Who will be delivering my parcel?
We use a variety of carefully selected carriers for delivery; HDNL for the majority of the UK and Parcel Force for the UK, Europe and World wide. Parcelforce will pass to a local delivery agent in countries outside the UK. For small orders we may also use the Royal Mail. You are welcome to specify one of these carriers by calling our Customer Service team although you may have to pay more for certain carriers and services.
What happens to my parcel if I'm out while it's delivered?
Some carriers will not leave your parcel without a signature. If you require this service then please call our Customer Service team. If you are out the carriers will leave a card and you may then either:
- Collect your parcel from the specific carrier depot or the Post Office (Parcelforce) as per the instructions on the card
- Organise a re-delivery. This can be done by calling the number on the card or contacting our Customer Service team. For non Parcel Force deliveries you may also specify instructions to leave safe, such as with a neighbour or concealed on the property somewhere alternatively it may be possible to route to a different address (e.g. a work address) but you will need to call us to arrange this

Mixed delivery times
For orders placed with mixed delivery times, we may hold your delivery until all items are available for dispatch in one consignment. If you would prefer to receive items without delay, please contact our Customer Services team to arrange this for you.
Please note: you may be charged a supplementary postage charge for the extra consignments.
Delays
We strongly advise that you allow extra time ahead of an important event or expedition and especially where an exchange of size may be necessary. If for any reason we are experiencing delays we will keep you informed.
Availability
In the unlikely event that there should there be a problem with the availability of your chosen items, our Customer Service team will notify you at the earliest opportunity and we will be happy to discuss further options available to you.
