A classic all round wire gate biner with a lightweight I-Beam construction, the Spectre 2 is made with an easy to handle back shape and generous rope radius. The nose profile has been modified to protect the gate and the "rope basket" (the crook at the top where the rope runs) is deeper, so safer. As quickdraws are so routinely made up with weight-saving skinny dyneema tape nowadays, the shape has been tweaked to accomodate this, ensuring it's aligned correctly.

Basically you get a great biner which has been fine tuned to be even better: big enough for gloved winter hands, tough enough to rely on, but still light enough to carry a rack of them up day-long multipitches.

The Quickdraw set places a Spectre 2 at either end of an 11mm Dyneema sling.
