Great Bag when weight and size is an issue

Got these for my honeymoon to Tanzania. Had weight restrictions (15kg each) and had to be soft bags for the local flights out to Safari location. Ideal choice. Great price and about the lightest you can get. Everything we needed for 2 weeks away on safari and the at the beach for the 2 of us fitted easily into 2 of these with space left over and we were under the weight limit. Both bags took a beating during our travels and are fine part from some marks on the surface.

Would highly recommend if you need a lightweight soft bag.

Great kit bag

Bought this bag to use as a kit bag for kayaking trips and transporting climbing an walking kit when using the train. The rucksack straps are very useful for this, and are detachable, which is good if your going to put it in a plane hold.
The dry pocket comes in useful for separating wet/dirty and dry/clean kit :)
The material the bag is made of feels tough and has certainly held up to the abuse its taken so far :)
The compression straps are great for when its half full and you want to use it as a rucksack as they stop everything from collecting at the bottom of the bag.
The only problem I have had with the bag was the zip pulls to the main compartment as after a few uses the string started slipping from the plastic toggles. No worries thought as I replaced them with paracord.

Great Bag, not as indestructible as it seems...

I bought this popular holdall to use as my main kit bag for trekking in Nepal. The tough waterproof material survived alot of battering as it was dragged around by porters and all my kit was kept fantastically dry in the monsoon rain!
The internal divider is great for keeping damp and dirty clothes separate to clean and there is plenty of space to fill it with as much kit as you want! The rucksack straps are a quite uncomfortable and I would not recommend using this holdall if you plan to carry it on your back for long periods.

The main problem I had with this bag was that I discovered it had a hole about 5 inches long where the stitching along one of the seams had ripped apart. The only explanation I could think of was that it must've caught on something when the porters were carrying it.
Despite this happening, I was able to temporarily fix the bag using some strong tape. I have not been put off this bag. I got back to the UK and Cotswold allowed me swap it with a brand new Wet & Dry 100L Kit Bag which I will make frequent use of for many trips in the future!

Monster kit bag.

I ordered the 100 litres as it comes with the ruck sack style handles for carry across your shoulders as well as the normal hand carrying ones. I know the 75 litre does as well but you can never have too much space! It arrived a day after placing the order and is an awesome piece of kit. Very well made, it should last a lifetime and the split inner is a brilliant idea. It can also be used to seperate clean and dirty gear too. All in all, a highly recommended kit bag and a third off the price too!

Fantastic hold all

Really good bag, good size and number of pockets. Tough and stood up really well against being thrown around. The compression straps were brilliant, reducing the size of the pack for shorter trips away. Overall a decent bit of kit.

Both myself and my brother use these bags to get kit between home and bases and they stand up to all environments from the hills to the desert and even to being rammed in a submarine. Perfect for anyone who travels regularly and needs a spacious yet not awkward holdall.

Best duffel on sale today!

This bag is great for all types of travel ranging from a small local camping trip to a prolonged overseas trek. The material is extremely durable and waterproof (only the seam and zips will leak). They are truly great in terms of size and will compress down when only filled to about 3/4 capacity. I have had mine for about 5 years now and i can't find so much as a scratch on the surface, the shoulder straps are very useful for carry the bag and i can very often slide my tent inside the bag to protect it when travelling by plane. The water resistant inner pocket is great for use when canoeing with moist or damp kit but would advise against putting anything soaking wet inside as the water resistant zip can leak. Overall an unfailing bit of kit that is already a classic!

Great bags!

These bags are amazing, they are so much better for travelling (unless you are hiking with it a lot) than a traditional rucksack as it's much easier to get things in and out. In a rucksack you have to pull everything out to get to items near the middle or bottom of the bag.

These are extremely waterproof and very hard-wearing. I've been using mine for a while now all over Ethiopia and apart from a coating of dust it is in top-notch condition.

There is a nice amount of room for keeping documents etc safe, and it's like a Tardis inside - very voluminous!

The straps are well padded so this is easy and comfortable to carry on 1 shoulder. If you've really loaded it you can use the 2 rucksack-style straps and it sits nicely on your back.

Not a bad word to say about this!

Excellent sleeping mat

I'd been using karrimats previously, but got really cold when I was camping out in Aberdeenshire in February. A night without much sleep. So I decided to get a sleeping mat, but I had no idea there were so many to choose from. With advice from the staff at the Rose Street, Edinburgh, store I selected this model as meeting my needs, and I must say that having now used it, it has definitely met my expectations and "ticked all the boxes" insofar as I am concerned.

Great Roll Mat

Picked this mat up as a winter sleeping mat and it's done the job through many an expedition and many seasons. Its dealt well with rocky bivvies, emergency bivies in the rain (!), tent and tarp work come wind, snow, rain or shine! Lovely and comfy, low pack size and a reasonable weight for a mat of this season rating; and at the price you can't complain!
My valve has given up the ghost after over a year of use, so it now relies pretty much purely inflating with lung power, which is a bit of a let down but nothing major, and no different from any other major brand self inflating mats i've used. Highly recommended!
(Given four stars thanks to the valve.)
Great stuff, will certainly buy again when the current one expires!

Excellent value mat from a great brand!

Ordered online and arrived within two working days which is fast!

Upon removing the Helium 3.8 mat from its stuff sac the quality is good. Non slip backing to the mat stops it sliding around on the tent floor and its quick to inflate. Simply twist the valve in the direction of the arrow and pull out slightly to inflate. Deflating is quick and easy. Packing away is effortless and the size is fine.

Very happy with my purchase and at only £45 its excellent value for money. Thanks Cotswold!

Kenya expedition

i recently used this product on a two week expedition to mt. Kenya and the Masai Mara. I felt the product was exceptional, light weight with no compromise to any comfort or insulation. I would definitely use this product again, even for more demanding expeditions, and i feel confident that it would meet all the requirements without any issues or limitations. I strongly recommend this product.

Good but didn't last long

Have had this Mat for just over a year now and problably only used it 4/5 times. It kept well the first few times I used it and made for a very comfortable nights sleep, but recently has started to deflate very slowly overnight, can only assume a fault in the material as can't see any visible punctures.

Very comfortable sleep!

Really like this as it is very compact when folded(and very easy to fold), but very comfortable once inflated...only one problem: at the price I had assumed it was self-inflating, but that is not the case, so I needed to lie down on it once I had finally blown it up to my required level of hardness, as I was a little puffed out! That affects my rating...it would have been at least 4*.

Very comfortable

I've always used just a foam mat before, but with age creeping on I decided to go for these mats for all the family. Very comfortable and warm for adults and small children down to 3 degrees C - and at this price there's no point buying a mini-self inflating mat for children. Definitely converted.

Tough, lightweight and very comfortable

This was the first sleeping mat I have tried and I was very impressed with the value and performance.

The green top surface was easy to wipe clean of mud etc. and the grey flock finish on the underside did very effectively prevent the mat moving around during the night.

It was quick and easy to inflate / deflate thanks to the simple and durable air valve.

For such a large mat it packs down surprisingly well in to the carry bag included. As it states in the description it is a fairly weighty 750g so I suppose this could be a concern if weight was critical. The packed size given on the website is accurate and if anything a little larger than the actual size.

In use the matt is very comfortable and sufficiently deep to offer excellent insulation and protection from small stones etc.

Overall I am very happy with this product and would recommend it wholeheartedly to anyone except those more concerned with size / weight than comfort.
