Lightweight and Robust

Bought this for a couple of ultramarathons I had and was great. Very comfortable, practical and robust. Sucks onto your back during all activities, used it for a whole ski season and still going strong. Only down points is when using for commuting/day to day too many straps etc and gets annoying and a lot of money for such a small bag. Hydration unit good as well, as it has the integrated spine makes it easier to stuff into over filled bag. Would recommend to a friend whose keen on outdoors. Had it over a year, not looked after it but still works/looks like new.

Small but perfect for its job

I bought this as a budget way to get both a hydration bladder and a new day sack. It certainly isn't big enough to be a true day sack, but then that isn't what it is sold as. It is however perfect for carrying items such as waterproofs and fleeces when out hiking, with of course 2 litres of water to keep you going.

The helmet stow compartment has enough space for a climbing harness & boots to go to the wall with, and the pockets at the front are ideal for both wallet and camera. The straps are comfortable and the ventilation back well designed.

Overall, it’s a perfect addition to a rucksack collection, fitting in where you need to carry a few items but just the bare essentials.

Brilliant , Lightweight - Ideal for Runners

I'm using this for marathon training as the hip bottles just didn't carry enough & were way too bulky to be comfortable, this CamelBak is excellent, holds two litres of water plus has room for a few spare bits (phone, keys, chocolate, extra layer).

An absolute snitch at £40 really well made & very lightweight.

Perfect in every way.

The way the Octane XCT fits perfectly almost makes you forget its there. The side pockets are easily accessed and there's room for a compact rain jacket. A nice touch is the little clip that the drinking tube can be clipped into - to stop it swinging around. Oh & it has a whistle on the front! :) I would also add that I received excellent sales & customer service from the MK store and I'd highly recommend the store & product.

Exactly what I had hoped for.

I bought this for longer runs since I don't like carrying bottles or leaving them lying around the route. I've used it twice now. Filling is fine once you get used to it. Once its filled you can invert it then suck out the excess air - that stops the liquid from sploshing around. It fits tightly and doesn't wobble about or rub even after a couple of hours out. As it's on the back you don't notice the weight (although so far I've only filled it to 2litres not the max 3) Given how well it fits I think it'll be fine for biking as well. I bought the cleaning kit as well and keep the bladder in the freezer between runs, which will hopefully mean no mould build-up...
In summary - perfect so far; I'll try to remember to update this review once I've had it for a while.

The Best

I use mine for mountain biking, skiing and walking and it delivers. It's as tough as hell, comfortable for a small bag, has plenty or pockets for organising and expands to carry some large items. Pricey for the size but it's worth it.
