Womens' Rucksack with great flexibility

This rucksack was purchased for my daughter for DofE Gold Award and is very flexible indeed. She being of only small stature, the rucksacks' adjustments were such that it could easily accommodate her build, as well as it might a more taller and broader person. Its design enabled the all important correct fitting so she could concentrate on the job in hand whilst the weight distribution didn't compromise her posture or unduly affect her performance. Some good concepts with easy stash areas close to hand. The rain hood was very effective though the rain can penetrate down the back between the sac and the wearer with a heavy deluge, but we've yet to see a sac that this doesn't apply to and the answer to this is a waterproof liner. Thoroughly recommend this rucksack and award 4/5 only on the basis that 5 star awards have to be very very special indeed.

Superb trekking rucksack

Used this bag for 8 days on Hadrian's Wall and 4 months backpacking round in SE Asia and it hasn't let me down once! I was concerned that it being so light it wouldn't stand up to much punishment but it took the worst numerous airlines could throw at it and didn't once falter. some great features and clever strap placement too makes it easy to pack and strap things too, plus gives plenty of space to carry all you'll need for 8 days camping minus the odd stop at a shop to pick up some eggs and bacon!

Absolutly amazing rucksack

this is my first rucksasck that i have bought, i bought it for a mix of dofe expeditions and camping, but im bound to use it for more than that in the future. i chose this one because i had used a vango rucksack before on a practice expedition and it was great, (i think it may have been the older contour beacause it was very similar). this bag jas everything you need the expandable pockets are amazing, the clips are robust, secure and hold everything in very well. very comfortable and easy to adjust with the ladder system, pockets are more than big enough to hold everything in especially the pocket atr the front( you cant really see it in the picture) is great for things you need quick access to like waterproofs. as it is the first i cant really comment on the weight but im only 15-16 and i can carry it just fine. cant think of any negatives really.

My First Rucksack !!

So, here I am just started climbing outdoors and need a rucksack after trying to walk across boulders for 20 mins to reach my first ever climb. There I was with 2 small rucksacks on my back and guess what..NO GOOD..so I went to the Reading store for a big one, was measured and helped by a very helpfull member of staff. This product is great for the money, has all I need including a rain cover which i may need in our climate! Lots of pockets and most of all very comfortable. To top it all I got an ExploreMore Card bonus of 20% off!! Would recommend this to anyone...

Make's walking a whole lot easier

I used this bag for a d of e expedition trip , and this bag was a recommended kit for d of e. When putting in all the stuff that you carry with you, it seems as if it will be a huge struggle, but it is suprisingly easy to carry, with good shoulder, back and waist support. The endless number of pockets means that it is easy to separate all the things you are taking without having to go through one compartment and trying to search for one tiny object. The fact that it is waterproof is also helpful, and everything is kept very tight inside the bag so nothing falls out. This bag is full of compartments for water bottles and so on. Overall, a very useful bag, no need to worry about overloading it, and no need to worry about it being to heavy. My d of e expedition was made easier for sure!!!

Great large day/overnighter rucksack!!!

As I said,..Vango Contour 50+10 is a grat-large daysack/overnighter rucksack.
My ratings are:
-Strength - takes the knocks( in my country, yes we do the knocks..:-))
-Size - It's big but but very flexible.
-Comfortable - takes weight and distributes it nicely.., the top pocket takes a large amount of gear; gloves, hat, head torch, snacks, cakes etc. Internal pocket is good for keys, moby, wallet etc
Really are too many good points to mention an if didn`t win a new one..:-))),I, really cannot see myself needing a replacement!
Vango Contour 50+10 was my the best friend while climbing the Maglich`s peak(2386 m) on January 12-15,2012 (winter sleeping bag,4 season tent, water bag 3l,food,spare wearing, ice axe, walking sticks, first aid kit etc...
Gave it XCELLENT for value!
