A broad-brimmed hat that's equally at home walking in the countryside, along the beach or dressed up with a scarf. Brim up or brim down, the choice is yours. Made from hard-wearing hemp, with a relaxed linen-like feel and appearance, it comes with Tilley's lifetime guarantee. To find your hat size, use a tape measure and draw it right around your head. For the best-looking and most comfortable fit, please make sure that the bottom of the tape touches your eyebrows while resting straight around your head. Hold it there comfortably and do not pull tight! The Tilley Hat fits more comfortably than other hats. It’s designed to be worn low on your head and slightly loose. It should be held on by gravity, not by painful pressure on your forehead! For the proper fit, you should be able to easily insert two fingers, flat, between the middle of your forehead and the front of the Hat. The Hat should be loose enough that you can rotate it to the left and right, and lift it up and down, without friction on your forehead. When it’s windy, use the cord!

Handy hat

Bought for keeping the sun out of my face this isn't an adjustable cap, however the strap at the back is elasticated and can always be undone if your head is larger than average.
It's light so should be ok in warm weather and should soak with sweat.

Quality.. at a price!

Having had cheap full brim hats that cost much less I was wary about spending so much, but as a walker and gardener who was advised to avoid the sun's harmful rays I took the plunge.
It's the best hat I've ever had... and gives factor 50 sunblock "to boot" (or am I head over heels and getting my metaphors mixed).

Best hat ever!!

I always wear a hat - have various sorts for different occasions. have promised myself a " Tilley " for ages. Tried this one on, very comfortable, thought my head had got bigger but internet info says you need one size bigger. Am looking forward to trying it out in ALL the elements to put it through it's paces!

Great sun/shower Hat

Excellent quality product, worth every penny

Thought about buying this for a while, finally bought a Tilley TH5 Hemp hat, very pleased with it. This is not a cheap holiday sunhat, but a quality year-round product that I expect this to last many years. The manufacturer also gives a lifetime guarantee.
In Aberdeenshire, it's a hat for cold wet days rather than keeping the sun off. The hat is much more comfortable than a cagoule hood, the brim keeps your face and shoulders dry, the hemp is excellent for repelling water and being breathable. Way better than an umbrella in town, the cords also tie-down for windy days.
The sizing is really important for comfort, 7 1/2 was too tight, the 7 3/4 too loose, the 7 5/8 was just right.

Sublime hat!

What I like about his hat, is that I immediately knew, at long last, I had found something that looked the part, suited my fine chiselled features and is a top quality product. I didn't mind paying the extra money because experience has taught me to buy the best you can afford first time round; it will last longer.
