Perfect for mountaineering!!!!

It won't win any fashion competitions, but it more than gets top marks for keeping you warm in the harshest of cold weather. It was like cocoon of warmth enveloping my head:) I slept in it too!

I do not have the smallest of heads by far and this hat amply covered my head. It even covers the forehead more than other hats do.

It did very well (no smells or fur sticking together) despite 24hr use throughout most of the climb. I am now looking to buy another one for family.

I can't sing enough of its praises. If you are in a very cold environment and need a hat, this is the hat for you.

Excellent addition to a Buffalo or Montane jacket.

This isn't waterproof but may as well be as it keeps you warm even during heavy rain. Just a great, functional item.

Warm and light

This hat is lovely and light and isn't too elasticated so it's easy to forget you're wearing it which is nice if you have a big head like me. The fleece material is nice and soft and not at all itchy. I bought the hat because I get terrible ear pain when the wind is up, even on a mild day. I found that the hat could have covered my ears more as I can still feel a bit of wind up the sides, but once my hood is over my head too, it's fine. I bought this in a rush on a cold day, and I am very happy with it.

Great buy!

I would recommend this hat to anyone who is looking for something to keep you warm no matter what activity you are taking part in from climbing to hillwalking. i do a wide range of different activities and find this hat great no matter what i am doing. It has an internal headband which is great for providing warmth but also keeping the hat snug to the head which means it doesn't slide up exposing the bottoms of your ears like most do. In my opinion it is also a very stylish looking hat and feel great wearing it whilst out around town buying new gear when the weather is abit nippy!
