Radically different but radically better

Having been a keen runner now for many moons regularly suffering from injury from knee to achilles, I thought I would give barefoot a go. Started by scouring the internet for what 'experts' deemed a good beginners all round shoe to start with and decided in the end to go with the 'Classic' 5 finger Vibram shoe.
All I can say is wow. It took some getting used to with short runs to start with but now I am beginning to get used to them and it is such a difference. I haven't suffered from any pain since getting them and am finding myself having better feel of the ground and going faster with seemingly less effort. The 150g (well slightly more as in size 47) feels like there is nothing there allowing feet to come through much more smoothly. Even running on ragged terrain is wonderful as the grip from the vibram sole could not be better.
Generally a brilliant shoe, however, do expect to put lots of slow gentle miles in initially to get used to them!
