Great take anywhere, wear anywhere jacket

Bought to replace a pasclite jacket I have had for years. Great for dropping in a rucksack and taking for walks just in case. Very comfortable to wear, but provides ultimate protection even for those wet British summers. Great jacket at a great price.

Great light weight waterproof

I wore this jacket in Thailand during the recent torrential rain and flooding that the country experienced and I was very impressed. It is very light weight, it packs really small and is extremely waterproof. It kept me dry in monsoon rains for hours at a time. It is also very breathable and it was very comfortable to wear even considering the humidity and heat. An excellent jacket.

Great waterproofing!

Having just tackled the 3 Peaks, this was the only wtaerproof jacket i had with me and to be honest i got a bit concerned that i was going to get wet, i need'nt have been!
During the climbs up Snowdon, Scafell Pike and Ben Nevis we experienced very heavy rain, high winds and snow on Ben Nevis,the Paclite performed admirably well and kept me tinder dry throughout, and it rolls up so small that it takes hardly any room in your rucksack, well worth every penny!

Very Practical and compact waterproof

I am very impressed with the finish quality of this jacket. It also stows very compactly making it ideal for day walking and also for city breaks. It also fits well and is smarter than most shell wear-- to top it all it also is waterproof!!

Highly recommend

I use this jacket in all conditions from scrambling in horrendous sideways rain in the lakes to walking to work in Manchester drizzle. It has never failed to keep me dry. The fit allows for really good movement of the upper body

Expensive but worth it

I have had the jacket for a month so far, so no use in snow but as a skiing instructor working on outdoor artificial slopes it has seen its fair share of rain. It is amazing in heavy rain, it just seems to refuse to even start to get wet. I forgot it one day and used my (non gore-te/mountain equipment) '15000mm' waterproof jacket, within a few hours it was leaking in seams and the fabric was starting to let water through.

The Kamchatka is also very breathable, it is really comfortable to wear and windproof. If you want a high performance jacket for use in rain and snow when you will be doing physical exercise i would recommend it. For low intensity sports you should get something insulated as it is just a shell so can need a lot of layers underneath on cold days.

A great travelling companion

I have used this jacket across the world on my travels, it combines comfort, looks and practicality. It is small enough not to hamper you movement but warm enough to be really help when it matters. I wish the military would allow me to wear it while working!! if only it came in a dark colour.

Made for any weather

It's ideal for the Scottish weather you know those days when it can't make up it's mind what to do - sun, rain, wind, more sun etc! This jacket tackles the lot. It's light and breathable enough to ensure you don't overheat but is waterproof and wind resistant so keeps you snug when the day takes a turn for the worse. if snowboarding is your thing it has loads of room for twisting and turning. It has a good amount of room which allows layers under with a hoody or down vest etc. The jacket has quite a long fit to ensure cover of the layers underneath. The hood has ample room for a helmet when boarding, climbing, cycling etc. the one thing it is missing for me is an inside pocket - but hey is that worth a hundred pounds more? When you look at the price of the other jackets available you'd be CRAZY not to pick this up and head for the checkout!!

The blue is a fantastic colour with special dry zips to make sure there are no leaks. Perfect for travelling to school.

Unbelievable Offer for a Fantastic Jacket!

The Draconis Jacket is a great deal and is an absolutely unbelievable offer at this price, the jacket has all the features you'd expect from The North Face and is extremely light weight, waterproof, breathable and comfortable. It is comparable to the Point Five Jacket and includes the same features such as the helmet compatible hood. I did however find that the fit could be a little tight for the size guide you'd expect to wear, especially if you'll be wearing several layers underneath so think about looking at a size up. Overall though a 5* Jacket!

good all round moutain jacket

the berghaus mera peak is a good all rounder on the hill but its only downfall is the new style cuff attachments which do not hold down very well compared to the traditional velcro style, but all in all a good coat for the price.

Brilliant waterproof jacket

I bought this jacket earlier this year and used it on a weekend's walking in the Lake District. It is light, practical (I could get an OS map in the pocket), comfortable, breathable and most importantly......kept me dry through 3 days very wet weather !!
