Great all rounder.

I was given this softshell as a Christmas present and have hardly had it off since. The addition of a hood (capable of taking a helmet) has made this a great all round jacket, especially for Scottish weather. I now only have to reach for by old Gore-Tex on the very wettest of days. I only have two negatives about the jacket; first the hood does not roll away the best, which can be annoying in very windy conditions. Secondly the external pocket are possibly a wee bit two deep coming below where the waist belt of my rucksack sits, which can become irritating if you are having to take your rucksack off and on lots. But all round a good bit of kit that is going to be well used.

Excellent all round mountian walking jacket

A great breathable and windproof soft shell jacket. An ideal midweight jacket used as part of your layering system, to allow for the wide temperature range suited to hill and mountain walking.

Awesome allrounder

Just took this jacket snowboarding and even at -25deg all I needed was a couple of light wicking t-shirts underneath. Even my mate in his 600 fill down jacket was colder. J=Fitted ove snowboard helmet too.

Conversely can also be a quite cool in the uk. Guess something to do with wet vs dry cold.

Love it though and highly recommend to everyone I know.

CRACKING FULL FEATURED LIGHTWEIGHT JACKET

This was my first Rab product. Id been looking to replace my windwall jacket and this fit the bill well and had more features than id been used to. Although its lightweight its still reasonably warm and being a person who perspirates alot the pit zips come in handy along with the vapour rise materials it wicks moisture away really well! The soft pertex outer has a real quality feel with rain just beading up and rolling off(though not technically a waterproof!)and the wicking inner material feels nice on the skin.
Overall a very nice jacket that looks at home on the hills as it does down the pub!

Great light weight softshell

This jacket is made from Marmot's M3 material, this being the most breathable out of the three (M1, M2 and M3). It is lightweight and a very good fit. It has a good stretch to the fabric and the jacket doesn't ride up when your arms are above your head, making it ideal for climbing. The hood is big enough to be used over your climbing helmet and moves with your head when adjusted correctly with the draw chords. It offers resistance to light showers but anything more than that you will have to don Gore-tex. Thermally, it isn't the warmest jacket in the world but is ideal whilst on the move on the hill.
All in all i am impressed with this lightweight softshell, so much so i wear it pretty much everywhere. Only down point i could muster would be the price, i think it could be slightly cheaper, but then everything seems to be getting more expensive these days.

A cracking lightweight soft shell

My first soft shell jacket and I'm so far really impressed.

It has a nice high collar to keep the wind of your neck and long sleeves for climbing and stuff. The pockets are in a good position and roomy enough for the odd necessity.

Great for all adventures

On purchasing this jacket I was curious to get it out there and see whether it's not fully waterproof and lack of hood features would be a good or bad thing...after using it for four months. I can confirm that both of them are good things when in urban environments and taking the dog for a walk through the fields! The lack of hood leaves the neck area clear and aids breatabilty whilst the lightweight fabric acts as a third skin in keeping warmth in and moisture out. As the for the stretchy fabric it is very handy when undertaking more technical adventures and especially when used as a layer under a jacket! Highly recommend for the price and the brand that never fails to deliver.

Excellent all rounder

This jacket was a purches worth making, one of the better soft shell jackets available at an affordable price. Good flexibility wether doing some bouldering or mountin biking. Stylish and practical jacket

This lightweight jacket looks just as good worn as casual clothing in town as it does out in the countryside. It is extremely windproof and warm and keeps out all but a torrential downpour. I like the deep inside pockets and the high zip up collar.Definitely a recommended buy.

Good lightweight softshell vest

Had this soft shell vest for a few weeks only but am actually quite impressed with it. Fit is quite good though it does lift if not wearing a waistbelt or harness, and pockets are in a good position so are fully accessible even with harness on which means that it falls perfectly into my definition of good pockets as you can fit at least 3 twix bars per pocket!! Water resistance is also brilliant, highly recommend for mildly windy climbs or fast road cycling!

Great cold weather softshell

Replacing my old worn out Conduit softshell - this one is great - usual good M Hardwear fit,inc slightly elongated back. Just enough warmth in winter - and very breathable. I couldn't decide between this and the M Hardwear Offwidth ( more of a summer/spring jacket) - so I bought one of each! Great value in the Cotswold winter sale :-)
