Mittens provide more warmth than gloves as all the fingers are kept close together, but dexterity is inevitably sacrificed. This mitten readdresses the balance with a durable palm and closer fit to improve your grip in icy situations

Very warm and waterproof with a good sized cuff.

Not much more to add. They just work and are very well priced.

Great glove. Keeps hands warm, dry and still with good flexibility. Good value and ticks all the boxes.

Excellent quality, great warmth and dryness

I used these mitts for my first winter adventure around the Coniston fells yesterday. Really easy to put on and take off. Dexterity was far better than expected. Amazingly I could still get into my rucksack while keeping these on.
Glad I bought them in time for the snow!

Does what it says.

I enjoyed wearing these glove liners but after a couple of weeks the stitching went on one of the seams and I had to return them. Possibly just a one-off?

For a short review then I found these gloves had two main advantages. Flexibility. Build quality. I also noted their breathability. They work by providing a removable weatherproof outer. It is very easy to remove the outer glove. I found a size that fitted my hands correctly. If you lose one on a mountain your hands will still be kept warm.

Hard wearing and warm gloves!

I have had a pair of these for years. Used while scrambling in Snowdonia they are tough enough to cope with the rock, and still provide warmth when wet. No fancy features with these, just a pair of high quality and hard wearing gloves. Great.

Great value gloves

These are great liners that are also really good on their own. The material is very comfortable and well fitting. My only (minor) complaint would be that they are slightly loose around the wrists, otherwise at this price they are well worth getting!

Well shaped liner gloves

Unlike too many basic liner gloves the Layeron has a good taper to fit hands that aren't square-cut. Add in the thinness and smoothness of the material and they make for a well above average liner. The only drawback is they could do with more taper toward the wrist.

Just Right....

Recommended in-store by an assistant.
Perfect for allowing your hands to breathe, while keeping them comfortably warm - not hot.
I've run in these around 20 times now, in temperatures from 1 to 10 degrees, and only near 10 degrees were my hands starting to get a bit 'damp' at the end of an hour's run.
When it's been a little colder, making a fist has stopped the air going through them and warmed my hands enough to stop me noticing the temperature.
They'll also keep a light drizzle off your hands for at least 30 minutes......
The only 'fault' with these is that you can't operate an iPhone screen with them on.....
Very pleased with these indeed. :)

Awesome

I had these recommended to me in-store, as an ideal glove to run in when it's colder.
All the other gloves I've ever run, or done activities in, have caused my hands to sweat.
These seem to let some wind through, but not too much, so that your hands get to breathe, while they do maintain a good temperature.
I've run around 15 times in them so far, in temperatures between 1 to 9 degrees, for times between 40 and 90 minutes, and they've been excellent. They've even put up with light rain without my hands getting wet (I cut that run short though!).
You can't operate an iPhone screen with them, but that's a very minor point.
I'm not sure how these would cope below freezing, but I'll be finding out in the next few weeks I would imagine.....the assistant in-store said that to keep your hands warm as it gets colder, you just make a fist.
They aren't too thick either, which means you can still do a pair of laces up, and secure rucksack straps and clips with them on.
I'd heartily recommend these for running in - they weren't the cheapest, or the most expensive glove - just the pair that one of the assistants at Peterborough thought I'd get on with. He wasn't wrong.
I probably won't run without these now until the spring/summer.
I can't see how you could be disappointed buying these - or even getting them as a present! :)
