Hot climate pants

The meridian convertible pants are the thinnest per of pants north face make. They have a good fit around the whaist, around the knees the sawing can rub the back of the knee. The have a good pair of zippers and the fin fabric gives a good comfort in hot weathers. The pants come soft but after a few laundries they become stiff and less comfortable. They are very lite weghit and are good for bag backers.

For conclusion they are good per of trousers when bought in one of the store sales. They give good comfort for hot weather but they worn out faster then expected.

Superb Trousers

I managed to get some of these while they were on sale and I liked them so much I immediately ordered another pair! They are very lightweight but still keep the chills out. Good quality manufacture and have an abundance of pockets as well as having both belt loops and a waist draw cord. They also have a leg roll up feature as well as being convertible. Excellent stuff!

Cracking.

Having always been a bit of a Wallace rather than a Grommit - I always seem to be getting "The Wrong Trousers". This time, however I believe I have got it just right. The hefty price tag is a bit off-putting but having had them just over 3 weeks I am starting to think they are worth every penny. Loose-fitting, they provide plenty of flexibility of movement, without losing any shape or appearing baggy. The fabric feels reassuringly strong and durable, without the heaviness I usually associate with those qualities. Plenty of storage space for essentials in a sensible number of pockets without the all-too-common style of so many pockets you lose things in them! Strong in the areas where it counts. If it's important to you, they are also stylish enough to be worn off the hills without looking like you are just about to go! I want another pair. That's how good they are.

Comfortable, durable trousers

Light and comfortable with plenty of room. Good fit and seem durable and hardwearing, too.
My only gripe would be the price.

Great trousers and value for money

Kiwi trousers are an excellent buy if you want good quality, comfortable, well designed outdoor and travel trousers. I've got several pairs and they've never let me down. They have loads of useful pockets including one which is exactly the right size for a folded OS map and also has a neat inner pocket for a mobile phone. the zips are good quality and the fabric is hard wearing, it doesn't crease and it dries quickly after washing (or after a rain shower). Sizing is generous so I tend to buy a size smaller in the waist than normal. As others have said, new style belt is poor - the original design was much better but apart from that, hard to fault for the money.

Superb trousers

I love Craghoppers trousers so much that I four pairs.
They feel nice next to the skin & even after being out in a cloud burst are very quick drying.
I have 1 moan about the latest version & that is the silly fataening on the belt but when I e-mailed Craghoppers they sent me an older, better, version belt.
Brilliant aftersales.

brilliant trousers

these are the best outdoor activity trousers I have owned, I used them last year when guiding on trails, hills etc in the Hebrides and Scilly Isles. They dry quickly, are lightweight, comfortable and stay clean, keep their shape and form.

Definitely Classic

I like getting value for money. Who doesn't? I was ultimately convinced to buy these Kiwi trousers by the fact that they came with a belt, something lacking in the other equally comfortable trousers I tried. This was a mistake.
Fortunately the trousers themselves are fantastic. They're comfortable and they dry quickly when wet, a crucial selling point. The large gusset allows for ease of movement over boulders and gives freedom when climbing, although they're a bit baggy when standing normally.
Buy them for the excellent trousers they are and not for the 'free' belt which comes undone at the slightest nudge. By doing this you will avoid the embarrassing experience I had of being caught doing up my trousers in the soup aisle of a local supermarket. There was much frowning and tutting.

Best trousers ever

These are the most fantastic trousers, which do as they say on the label, easy fitting, and dry within moments, keep the wind out, cool in the heat, and also extremely durable. Having just completed the camino walk to Santiago de Compeostela, some 500 miles, the trousers experienced all of the about and came out 100%

Brilliant Trousers

These are the best trousers I own. The Montane Terra Pants are very light and are really comfy, because they are so light when they get wet they dry instantly. This is exactly what every mountaineer wants, especially in Scotland. They are so good that I have two pairs in different colours. Love them.

Mountain pylamas.

I purchased these trousers recently and in my opinion are the most comfy trousers I own. I recently wore them in the wind and rain and they performed really well the water just fell of them, and once the rain stopped they only took a minute to dry out. I would recommend these trousers to anyone who likes the outdoors.

Awesome Trouser

The Montane Terra Pant is by far the lightest, most breathable, wind resistant and fast drying pair of technical outdoor trousers i have ever worn. I would not substitute them for any other pair. I have been solidly sporting the Montane Terra pant now for 4 years. And through solid outdoor use i have only had to buy one additional pair, purely because I grew out of my first pair, (which my sister now wears). And although the fairly expensive price tag, you pay for a lasting, quality pair of trousers which I feel, are indispensable. They are ultra practical and breathable, thanks to a zip feature on either side off he trouser allowing a controlled airflow through a mesh net system. Although may be a bit light for winter mountaineering, a pair of under thermals do the trick, as i tested out on "Jacobs Ladder", (Cairngorm). The trouser will go from drenched to bone dry in a matter of 15-20 minutes, (so river crossings, etc, are no longer a problem). They weigh nothing, and are extremely durable thanks to the reinforced knee and backside patches. All of this is topped of buy a sleek modern design which looks great out in the hills, mountains or Corries. What a piece of kit!

The best outdoor trousers

Had a pair of these 6 months now, worn them constantly for work, climbing walking etc and they had two weeks in the alps. The trousers still look brand new! Forget the waterproofing this only lasts one or two washes - you dont need it they dry out from soaking wet in minutes with a bit of breeze or sun on them. Oh yeah you are cool on hot days and they are fine for wet cold "Summer" days on British hills. Not tried them in winter really yet but will be buying a few more pairs in case they stop making them!

Excellent all round trousers

I've been wearing Terra's for walking, climbing and scrambling for over a year now, in both summer and winter conditions. I've yet to find fault with them.

On the hottest days, or when moving quickly, the thigh vents are brilliant for cooling your legs down. The pants stretch more than enough for those awkward moves, and the abrasion resistant patches are excellent.

Very quick drying, I no longer reach for the over trousers at the first sign of rain, and the windproofing is excellent at keeping out any little breeze.

In winter they're a little on the thin side, but teamed up with a pair of long johns and on wet days some over trousers I've not yet been cold.

My only issue has been with the supplied belt, which has a tendency to loosen off over time. That said the elastic waistline is generally more than enough to keep the trousers up.
