Pretty good Expedition Sack

There are many attachment points and three methods of accessing the main compartment of the Sack which i utilise more than i thought i would.
I was advised in store that this Rucksack would be good for carrying weight and it didn't disappoint. At one point during an expedition i had to carry another full expedition rucksack which i attached to the top of mine. The weight distribution was brilliant and i didn't feel the weight gain that much.
The main feature that let this bag down was its special hipbelt adjustment system. It was the bane of my expedition and continuously twisted itself and loosened off. I will have to make some adjustments of my own

Great running waist pack

I have used this waist pouch on a number of long runs and have found it big enough to hold enough kit (waterproofs, hat & gloves, foil bag, food etc) yet stable enough not to bounce as I run. Having a single bottle on the hip reduces the bounce, and the compression chords and elastic are great for attaching an extra waterproof to the outside.

Versatile sleeping bag that doubles as a bag liner

I love this sleeping bag and use if frequently either by itself inside to sleep at friend's places or inside a regular sleeping bag for extra warmth when trekking. It's great for overseas travel and doesn't weigh (or cost) much more than a sleeping bag liner.

Very decent bag

very nice sized bag, loads of room to store kit and has a useful drybag inside to store damp/wet kit. Has compression straps inside and outside the bag so you can keep all your kit in one place and compress the bag down. The wheels and handles seem to be well constructed. Also comes with two side handles as well as the carry handles on top. Overall a very good bag and I hope to get plenty of use out of it.

Does what it says it does on the tin!

First impressions are very good. I have used it twice so far to haul kit across the UK via the train network and it's very happy to do so with ease.
It's very well constructed with a great set of wheels. The handle locks out in three positions, down, half extended and fully extended. There are two grab handles at either end along with two external compression straps both sides that you use to compress the bag when not full. The outer skin is tough and waterproof. It could have done with extra material at the wheel end to help with wear and tear when standing up though and this is my only slight concern with the bag. The underside has two strong rails to protect the contents and protect when bumping up curbs.
On opening the bag via the large D shaped top flap (great for packing) you are confronted with a large single area for kit. It also has a very handy built in dry bag for packing of wet kit/washing. Also underneath the D shaped top is a large mesh compartment that swallows up my 17" laptop with ease. Two internal compression straps help hold your kit securely. Time will tell, but I look forward to many years of easily hauling gear with this bag and consider it a great purchase.

All the space I need

Bought this roller kit bag for the next trekking holiday and its size is perfect. Guy in the shop showed me how to use the compression straps on the side to bring the overall size down so it will get more frequent use than I originally thought. Rolls beautifully even when full and will take all the weather it will get . Have looked for so long for something as versititle as this.

Ideal for the more mature traveller!

Kit bags are so much more practical than cases as they weigh less & fold down much smaller. However as one gets older they're not so convenient for humping round. The wheels make it so much easier and this one is a quality kit bag.

Brilliant expedition and overall travel rucksack

I bought this rucksack for a 1 month expedition to borneo, and whilst there i spent 5 days trekking through the jungle, which i believe thoroughly tested it(although this is slightly extreme, it shows just how tough it can be).

Overall: perfect fit for adventure essentials.

Good features:

Rain cover is easy accessable, and is quick to cover.
The top zip compartment is extremely useful for important essentials such as food, first aid and waterproof jacket.
The main compartment is perfect for clothes, extra equipment, and has outside access to hydration tube which i found to be my lifeline, theres even room for a hamock!
There is a separation within the main part which is accessed from the bottom and is perfect for a sleeping bag, shoes and dirty clothes, i found this way you can access the sleeping bag without disrupting everything else above.
Other small zip/mesh pockets are great for regularly used items like snacks, insect repellent, camera and emergency first aid. Any other small items can clip onto the outside.

Possible Improvements: Adjusting the back to fit is vital for best comfort, although when i was carrying heavy loads within the rucksack, strong movement such as lifting the rucksack onto my back would mean that the TFX 6 back system would sometimes fall out of place, pushing it onto a larger setting.

A great night's sleep

Put bluntly this is an outstanding piece of kit. Having spent the last 18 months walking and camping the 2500miles of UK National Trails I can safely say that this was one of my best investments. I've had a "self inflating" (ho ho) Prolite 4 thermarest for ages but as found it just too uncomfortable when sleeping on my side on my bony hips! The NeoAir is extremely comfy and gives me a great night's sleep. Additionally it packs down to nothing and weighs even less than that. Downsides? None really. Yes you have to blow it up but that's a little like saying the downside of walking boots is having to tie the laces. It's pricey but worth it.

overpriced and disappointing

NEXT. THE Thermarest NeoAir mattress,
Hmmmmm.I was on a three month trek in the Greek mountains, I needed lightweight stuff, I read the reviews..I bought this state of the art item
At first I hated it with great intensity, and would have given anything to have my old thermarest back.(an EXCELLENT item which had given up the ghost after many years of incredibly hard use)
Here`s why: You have to blow this b*** up. Unlike unlike 90% of the people who had tested the thing, I found this VERY wearing. The LAST thing I want to do when I am totally knackered is get dizzy inflating a mattress. Also I am not sure if it has a fault or if it just routinely deflates in the night. It never goes down completely. There is no hole in it. Naturally if it is a cold night the air contracts, so I would expect it to be less full of air as the night gets colder. It just it seems a bit excessive pressure loss. I have yet to spend a night that wasnt cold..But this is where the mattress is good. The insulation is FANTASTIC. After a couple of VERY cold nights I began to see the good side of the mattress, and to -if not love it- stop hating it.
Another really STUPID thing. Because the material of which the damn ting is made is rather vulnerable, I bo
