From the winter peaks of the Cairngorms to the frozen pinnacles of Alaska, the Maximus was created to shrug off the most extreme conditions you'll encounter. Rugged, waterproof, breathable Gore-Tex Pro Shell fabric is used to keep out the weather, withstand knocks and scrapes but still allow you to stay comfortable inside. Double-pull TorsoFlo zips take the idea of pit zips and extend it: the zips run from the armpit right down to the hem, allowing incredible venting and freedom of movement, which are further aided by mesh lined pockets and articulated sleeves. Everything you'd expect from a serious mountain jacket is here: a fully adjustable hood which happily fits over a helmet, adjustable cuffs and hem and a variety of well positioned pockets to keep all your kit where it needs to be.

good jacket, bad fit

really bad cut, I got M size, too tight around armpits (as if size S) , the rest too baggy (as if size L). you can see plenty similar reviews online with same complaint. seems very good strong material, but doesn't feel comfortable.. great service from cotswold, ordered on tuesday, delivered on wednesday, returned on thursday though:)

well worth every penny

brought from harrogate in the sale, could not complain at all, used in very cold, wet and windy weather and proved to me its alot better than most of the other rival brands...well worth every penny, and highly recomended.
