an ode to the firefox jacket

stylish and well fitted is a bonus for sure, but what makes this coat is when i walk out the door, the gore tex means i'm staying dry, and this breathable fabric means i'm heading high, the top of a fell, or all round the lake, with this (bargain price!!) coat on an adventure i'll take!

This is my third Berghaus jacket

It performs to the standard I have come to expect from Berhaus over the years. I look forward to lots of walks - wet or dry weather.

excellent all year round jacket

This jacket is very versatile as you can pack it away and also have the option of adding a fleece which zips into jacket for cold conditions. Love longer length and zip pockets as well as inside pocket.Fully waterproof excellent value for money

Snug, comfortable jacket even in heaviest showers.

Great jacket in all weathers but more so in windy, wet days which means there is no excuse for staying indoors. Particularily like pocket between zip and studs giving easy access to mobile phone.

Great waterproof jacket for hill-walking

I bought this Berghaus jacket for my expeditions with Duke of Edinburgh Awards. It performed outstandingly well in the typical Scottish weather conditions. It is totally waterproof, even keeping the contents of my pockets dry. I bought the Berghaus matching fleece with it which gives me a versatile 3-in-1 jacket. Best of all, Cotswold gives a discount to DofE participants!

I love this jacket!

I've just bought this jacket with my Christmas money and love it! I was struggling to find a good waterproof that fitted me well, but as soon as I tried this one on, I realised it was perfect. The quality and finish is second to none, and it is so lightweight and comfortable to wear. The colour is fantastic and should ensure I don't get lost on the mountains! Expensive, but well worth the price. I definitely recommend this one!

great protection against the elements

Excellent Service

I can't comment on the performance of the jacket as I only received it today. I ordered it yesterday morning by phone and it arrived less than 24 hours later. So, well done Cotswold. At £90 and with no postage to pay I'm sure this will be a very good deal. Also thanks to the very helpful & friendly staff. Ratings for service.

Jacket for all weathers

This jacket is light enough to pack without worrying about the extra weight. I get it out as a windproof on the Seven Sisters, or for those (un)expected downpours. It dries off quickly enough to just stuff back into my pack when the rain is over. I bought this jacket big enough to wear over another jacket if needed, so even take it out in the winter and use as an extra layer on lunch stops or as a waterproof. Very versatile! Only problem is that it doesn't quite keep one dry when walking in horizontal rain for several hours on the cliff top. But less extreme conditions are fine!

Excellent all rounder

I bought this jacket last year in Barberry mainly to use on DofE and have worn it in all weathers. Its lightweight and easily packs away into its own pocket.Although lightweight,its great worn with layers underneath.

Lightweight & Colourful

As a huge fan of RAB jackets it took a lot of convincing to switch to another brand but I have no regrets. Lightweight and durable this jacket is a fantastic addition to my kit - it is nice to have a high quality jacket in a nice bright colour making me easily recognisable on the mountains. I would recommend this jacket for any serious walker/mountaineers.
