Worth it

It took working my way through an entire box of normal matches to light my stove, to accept that its worth the £2.50 for these. You can stamp on them, bury them in sand, and dip them in water - they will stay burning!!!

Great value for a great product

I use Highlander Fuel tablets for my stove when ever I go out walking or camping and they have never let me down. Easy to light and good deal of heat from them.

Excellent reliable fuel tablets

I have used the Highlander fuel tablets from Cotswold for a number of years. I attend a lot of music festivals over the summer months and the tablets are idea as gas is banned at many festivals. I use the tablets to cook pasta, noodles soup and beans. Last year my tablets got drenched from rainfall and they still worked perfectly. The Highlander tables are ideal for any festival goer and camper. I would highly recommend this great product from Cotswold.

Tried it on a branch about 5cm in diameter. The wire snapped after cutting in about 5mm.

Highlander folding shovel - sturdy

I have bought this Highlander folding shovel to put in the car when snow is forecast. It is a bit on the heavy side at 1Kg but this is to be expected as it is as described of 'heavy duty steel construction'. When unfolded it is 60cm in height, 25cm when folded. The width of the spade is 15cm. I believe that this will be up to the job of clearing snow and ice around the tyres to help get some grip and get the car unstuck. Only two minor suggestions that I would make: 1) add a brief paragraph on to the packaging to explain how to lock the spade once it is unfolded (with spade fully extended, screw down the large collar-lock type nut). I guessed it was something like this but at first was not sure. Looks like you can also lock the spade head at 90 degrees to have a hoe, though this does reduce the overall length so not sure how effective it would be... 2) a pouch would be useful to keep it tidy in the boot of the car Other than this, for less than a tenner, I am happy with the purchase.
