The TevaSphere Mens Speed Shoe is made for those in the latter category... After years of research, numerous prototypes and thousands of measurements taken, the TevaSphere concept took shape. That shape uses a spherical heel, which encourages a more natural point of impact than traditional heel designs, as well as allowing the foot to move smoothly from landing to taking off again. In a running shoe - in particular an all-terrain running shoe - allowing the foot to move smoothly and naturally is important for cutting down on stresses and strains. This freedom is tempered by support: if you're intending to cover fast-paced miles over varied terrain, then ensuring then your feet aren't twisted uncomfortably is as important as giving them freedom to move. To this end, the sole is fitted with a stabilizing nylon shank, and supportive pods flank the arch to ensure that support is delivered where needed, without restricting the rest of the foot. In the TevaSphere Mens Speed Shoe, you find the ideal balance of free-moving minimalism and confidence-inspiring support.

EXCLUSIVE to Cotswold Outdoor! Using minimal construction to allow your feet natural movement, and carefully engineered support for activities on rugged terrain, the Teva Trail Mid Event is part of Teva's revolutionary TevaSphere collection. The TevaSphere concept centres around two very innovative features. First, the rounded heel means when your foot hits the ground, the point of impact is better aligned with your ankles and legs than with traditional square heels. The rounding also allows your heel to roll into each stride: instead of the constant stopping and starting which a foot does when landing and taking off, the transition from braking to accelerating is much smoother. Smooth movement and natural alignment are enhanced by the other big TevaSphere feature: stabilising pods at the sides of the shoes provide support when you find yourself on more challenging terrain. The pods mean support is delivered only where it is needed, without inhibiting freedom of movement where it isn't. In the TevaSphere Trail Mid eVent Boot, this supportive yet free-moving structure is complemented by protection in the shape of a super-breathable eVent waterproof lining, and heel and toe bumpers to see off rocks and gravel. In addition to its TevaSphere design, the sole uses Teva's renowned Spider Rubber, which grips brilliantly well in the wet.
