Cracking Stove

This is a great little stove which does everything you could want.

It is very light, folds down small, boils water quickly and is very stable on uneven ground.

I also found that it does not really use much has at all and it also has a built in piezo.

What more could you ask for :)

Great stove for the money.

Usually I am a great believer in you get what you pay for. However this stove performs well above the price tag. A good stable platform, remote burner, good pack size, reasonably powerful. Comes with a piezo which is still working after lots of use(a novelty) and wind shield. Really good value stove.

Excellent for backpackers!

Bought this stove to use on an exped over Dartmoor with my son, Really easy to use and set up and boils up a brew really quick. It packs away to a compact size which you can hold in your hand and we stowed ours inside the mess tins so no wasted space. We took several small canisters for a few days but only actually used one so it is very efficient. All in all this is an extremely good bit of kit if space and weight is an issue. Thouroughly recommend it.

Worth every penny

I have had many stoves but this one ticks all the boxes, stable, powerful, instant control, built in ignition and folds away to nothing.

Top Notch Stove

This stove is great. Due the spider design this stove is uber stable; this, in conjunction with the serrated arms prevents cooking pots from slipping of (unless you turn it upside-down). Another cool feature is the pack size. The sirocco packs down (gas canister not included - I'll come to that in a minute) to the size of a Trangia burner unit. Other groovy features such as the Piezo - click lighter thing and metal braided hose make this stove superior to any Trangia in my opinion (and I have had a few). The final thing that I love is the extended gas hose. The gas canister doesn't attach to the bottom of the burner unit (called 'remote feed' design) it instead runs through a braided metal hose that is very durable. This allows you to use any kind of gas canister you like. The stove adaptor uses En 417 cartridges which are a universal type.

To conclude this stove has a range of winning features that make it a great all round cooking stove.

Tip. The gas cartridges used by most blow torches, (350ml propane/butane mix) are compatible with this stove, are self sealing and are a ton cheaper per ml. I would strongly recommend looking out for these cartridges rather than the standard 175/190ml ones that most outdoor shops sell.

Stovetastic !

I really wanted one of those fancy pants Jet boil stoves you see on all of the magazines, but after chatting to the chap in the shop he recommended this stove and I'm really glad we got it now. Not only was it a stack cheaper, but it packs down smaller, you can detach the gas bottle, pick which size bottle you take with you and it has it's own lighter. Not only that but you can choose from a wider range of cook wear to use on it. Much better value ! Saved us about £100 on what we would have spent, more money for pasta and noodles !! (and beer)
Very stable to use, boils up quickly. Not had any problem with the pan slipping even in high winds. It is Stovetastic!

Great, solid stove!

I used this whilst I camped in the wild and it was very reliable and I found it more stable than a cheaper stove that I had used previously! It's also very handy that it's got a lighter within the stove so you don't need a lighter.

Let down by the detail

In principal the remote cylinder design is great for stability but it's let down by the smoothness of the pan stand. It means the pan slides all over the place and on the slightest incline will run off. Because of this I found my cylinder mounted stove to be much more stable.
