For long days out or overnights in hostels, the Vapour is a daypack which handles heavier loads with ease. If you're overnighting in a hostel, you don't require as much kit as you do for a night under canvas. You nevertheless need a bag which will carry more than just a map, flask and a waterproof jacket! The Vapour's 32 litre capacity and supportive hip belt make for a great all rounder: carry as much as you need for weekends away or cinch in the compression straps to keep everything stable if you're only taking the essentials for a day hike. Front panel lashing points, a lid mounted bungee system, compression straps and ice axe and walking pole loops add up to an impressive array of attachment options. Before considering which of these best suits you needs though, the lid pocket and spacious front pocket take care of most of your extra bits.

The best outdoor trousers.

My first purchase from Haglofs - I couldn't be happier. They are comfortable, kept me dry on a pretty wet day on Dartmoor, dried easily and were windproof. They fit perfectly and I am finding it hard not to order more. One pair just isn't enough!

The Perfect Light Weight Jacket

I hesitated before buying this jacket, but I went ahead because Haglofs Jackets have never let me down in the past. Looking for spring and summer windstopping and rain protection, I chose this one because of the advanced technology that makes it extremely light in weight. The usual inner mesh lining associated with Hagloffs is only present inside the pockets, the rest of the jacket posesses a new inner memberane that is merged with the gore fabric, so no additional mesh lining is needed. When I first wore the jacket I felt as if I was not wearing an outer layer, as it was so light. Walking in windy Welsh mountain conditions it rained, and this jacket proved perfect with excellent wicking abilities and rain protection. The hood is set into the colar in a very well pitched way, that is really comfortable, and the zips are smooth. I love the colour, and actually I have been wearing this jacket around the town too. People are complimenting me, asking me where it came from. This jaceket is one of the best I have ever purchased.

Outstanding

Used out of the box on the Penwith / Kerrier Ramblers Four Moors walk. 12 miles / 5 hours over rough wet / muddy bridleways & open moor. Feet dry and no blisters / discomfort. All my fellow walkers were amazed.

Excellent rucksack

My old Karrimor rucksack has seen better days and I bought this last March in Grasmere. It does everything I want of it and more besides. All the pockets are well-designed and accessible, and there are straps everywhere for attaching all things. It's comfortable, and the breathing system on the back is excellent. Can't find any faults so far, and at the price, it was unbeatable.

FANTASTIC YEAR ROUND JACKET

My first Haglofs jacket and I can only say: BRILLIANT|. Very comfortable, totally waterproof, ( I live in Scotland|)and a perfect fit (Large). Loads of inside pockets. Only criticism is the sleeves are a bit too long, but the adjustable velcro sorts that out pretty easily. Recommended||

I like these

I got these a couple of weeks ago, just in time for this terrible weather!
I can't help wondering if Cotswolds have maybe mixed up the product features with something else, though. There are no elasticated, adjustable braces that come with these (but I think they would be a welcome addition!) and no slanted hip to thigh ventilation zips, this sounds more like the Rando Q pant?
Anywhoo...these pants have a really nice fit - though they are quite long. I'm a big fan of Haglof's Proof membrane - made from reycled materials, it almost matches Gore Tex in terms of all of the numbers, but has a lovely stretchy quality about it. This is a really nice feature to have, especially in waterproof trousers where you're moving all the time. I haven't felt clammy in these pants like you expect to in waterproofs not made from eVent or Gore Tex, so they must be breathing well.
The fabric feels very robust, and you can tell by the reinforced insteps that these pants are designed to last.
The watertight zips that run right up to the hip are two-way, so you can ventilate in the spells between downpours. Since they zip up so far, they're dead easy to pull on and off, even over big boots.
There are also some little ankle gaiters which you can tighten with an elastic cord, they'll come in handy in the snow.
The trousers sit at the top of your hip bones, so quite high - which makes me fairly sure that they're not going to be rubbed down by a heavy rucksack, though I think it's always good to have some elasticated braces for technical trousers. Despite this, they do have a good belt on them, but the buckle is a little fiddly if you've got gloves on.
All in all, I really do like these trousers - though I haven't quite found a use for those thigh pockets yet. I love the Proof membrane - it's a really great choice for trousers, where an extra bit of stretch is always nice to have.

Excellent winter season pant

I've been looking for a replacement for my good old Mountain Hardwear rugged, pant till now. I wear them for work as well as hill/mountain activities. My Bracken pair are good for camouflage activities too. Shame I can't find the black in short leg in-stock anywhere though! Best outdoor activity clothing I have bought for years, and I buy plenty ........ !

Very nice looking and does what it says on the tin

I bought these trousers a few weeks ago, and hardly want to take them off when I get back inside.
They are extremely comfortable, have endured all heavy rain so far, and definitely wind proof. The wicking material works well as I’ve felt fresh all day on long walks – importantly, they look extremely good. I’m normally wary about walking trousers, because many make me look like a forest troll, but with these I can be proud of my style, on hills as well as city walks.
I found them slightly large in the size though, something to be a little careful of if you are in-between two sizes.
