good shoe to start with

I like the lightness of the shoe combined with the grip and support. Comfort for walking over everyday ground. Feet felt as if you were wearing slippers but had support all the time you had them on

Really comfy shoes!

These shoes are great for hot weather and are lightweight. Lots of space for feet when they get hot and swell a bit. Felt just like slippers!! Would be ideal for changing into after long day on hills wearing boots- good sole for rough ground.

Compression moulded comfort

I bought these shoes in April and I can honestly say that I have never been more delighted or impressed with a brand of footwear. They provide cushioned and flexible support, seeming to mould perfectly to the unique shape of your foot, whilst the waterproof leather provides protection from the elements and complete breathability. I wear my shoes every weekend in some pretty rough terrain - often for hours at a time - and so comfort is of paramount importance to me. That's why I love the Bellow tongue, which keeps debris out. Additionally the Aegis antimicrobial solution resists odour (again, very important). Quite simply, they're super; I would recommend them to any woman who wants hardwearing, shock absorbing footwear.

Very Decieving

For this price they are terrible shoes.
Make my feet feel like I have fallen arches which I don't.
Only had them four weeks and in that time they have gone from feeling great in the shop to making my feet and legs ache after only half an hour. Need to take them back to Cotswold Droitwich from where I got them and go to North Face Hedgehogs which I had before and which were brilliant for years.

Good Shoes

Changed from the slams to these for waterproofing, they have been a good shoe during the months Novemeber to March and have proved their worth in tropical Australia and here in the UK. Comfortable good grip and waterproof.

Most recent of many Merrells. Sadly disappointed.

I bought these new and even more pricey Merrells about 7 months ago. I have loved my previous ones and alway wear them till they drop to bits. Usually this takes a year to 18 months. These have given up the ghost after only 5 months.
Straight off they weren't nearly so water-proof as the merrells I've owned before, letting in water when walking on wet days. Also they didn't seem to offer as much grip or support as previous models.
Overall very disappointing and I think I might move away from the brand and head for a cheaper but hopefully better option.
