About Marmot
Marmot was founded in 1974 by a group of University of California, Santa Cruz students who prototyped a series of down products in their dorm room. Their first products were a down vest, a sweater and a parka and, later, three down sleeping bags. Today, Marmot produce a wide range innovative outdoor clothing & equipment like the Wave III Sleeping Bags, launched in cooperation with Cotswold Outdoor. The third version of Marmot's wave bags are built on the strengths of their predecessors and 36 years of Mamrmot sleeping bag know how, and we think they're our best synthetic bag yet.

Marmot UpCycle Clothing with Cocona
Marmot UpCycle products minimize impact on the environment by using natural, organic, and recycled or discarded materials that would otherwise end up in landfill. Cocona is derived from would-be discarded or “upcycled” Coconut shell husks. The husks are then processed into activated charcoal carbon and blended into a polyester matrix, which is spun into a fiber and then knit into a garment fabric. Cocona is integral to the fiber, naturally occurring and cannot wash out.
