The iconic, best-selling down insulated jacket has been overhauled!

The fit has been vastly improved with the addition of side panels, making it far less boxy and reducing underarm bulk. Its filling of 700 fill-power down means the Nuptse 2 will keep you warm in the depths of winter, but nevertheless packs easily into its own pocket, to conveniently stow in your pack. Hand-warmer pockets keep your hands toasty and the robust, ripstop nylon is backed up with double fabric over the shoulders to avoid abrasions. Ideal as a serious piece of insulation, the Nuptse 2 Jacket is also perfectly at home on the street, offering versatile comfort without feeling overheated.

A Brilliant Must Have Jacket Reviewed By John, 06 May 2013

A great down jacket equally at home on the mountain, piste or just for a trip down the shops. Had this jacket a while and its taken everything I can throw at it in its stride. The only downside, if you call it that, is in really cold conditions once you zip it up and snuggle down its like your favourite winter duvet - you just can't bring yourself to take it off! Highly recommended.

a very versatile jacket Reviewed By Michael, 04 Apr 2013

So I've got quite a few things to say about this jacket so i put it into a few basic points:

- very warm: the truth is, is that this jacket is an excellent insulator. It is very warm and I would highly suggest it for any day walks, or time at home.

- not to moveable: the thing is, it's a great jacket, but the shire volume of the thing makes it quite hard to move about, so I wouldn't recommend for any expedition involving climbing or kayaking.

- not great for walking with: if your hiking up a mountain, definitely take it with you, however your arms do end up getting very sweaty and sticky, but still great for putting on, on top of the mountain once you get up to stop you suffering wind chill

- looks good: this jacket is actually surprisingly comftorble and looks good, I wear it often if its a bit chilly and we are going to to look at shops

- bad in wet weather: another thing that makes this jacket not ideal for an expedition, if the jacket gets at all wet, your left with a sogy, shrivelled up rag, which looses its insulation.

- takes up space: in your rucksack you have limited space, and unlike other down jackets this actually takes up quite a lot of room and also doesn't come with a bag you can put it in so it doesn't take up space.

Apart from all the negatives this is a great jacket, if your going on walks or out and about get it, your wont regret doing it. But I wouldn't recommend it for anything above 4 day expeditions because you don't want to carry the extra weight.

A Must Have Reviewed By Jonathan, 15 Dec 2012

I bought this around 4 years ago now and I have used it all over the world in varying climes and it has stood the test of time. Warm and compact it's always to hand whenever I'm out on the hill and it's not out of place around town either. The only downside is that it is not waterproof but for sheer warmth and comfort it is a must have!

Simply a must have item Reviewed By Richard, 09 Nov 2012

Having been told about the jacket by a few of my colleagues who own one, I was initially sceptical. Surely it can't be that good? Turns out they were right. I bit the bullet a bought one. Best bit of kit I've ever had. Well worth investing in.

Like wearing a duvet!! Reviewed By Gavin, 11 Feb 2012

This is the best jacket I have ever bought. It is by far the lightest jacket I own and warmest. You dont seem to bake in it either. If you are thinking of getting a down jacket look no further, I highly recommend it.

Absolutely amazing jacket Reviewed By kiel, 10 Feb 2012

this is the first north face insulation jacket i have bought after been told by many that they are brilliant. so took the plung and got one the other day and my god they were not lying or over exaggerating. The jacket is very stylish to look at and is very nice fitting. Its light and very warm. As im in the army i will be replacing my issued warm kit with this as its lighter and warmer. Used it over last couple days to walk to and from work around 6 miles and i arrived nice and warm even tho its currently -2 with a wind chill of -5. So overall very good jacket and very good all round a must buy for those cold days.
