Very comfortable, waterproof and windproof hat. Reviewed By Keith, 27 Mar 2013

I have had two Lowe Caps during the last 10 ten years. I came on the site to buy another but the large is not available. Vert water proof, comfortable and warm. Snug fit to the bottom of the neck, which seals the weather with a high collar. Great for those blustery days, I have recommended it to many students over the years. Il wait for a large or rind a store direct.

A must-have for cold season mountaineering.... Reviewed By , 05 Mar 2013

...and general use in cold weather. It ticks all the right boxes for comfort, lightness, warmth, being wind/waterproof and for overall design. The velcro adjuster at the back is simple to operate and for really bad conditions the ear flaps have loops to add your own chin cord. In short, a classic piece of kit (beloved by the Marines, I am told) and great to find that Lowe Alpine still produce it and the basic design remains unchanged (a rare thing in the clothing market). I lost my old one last week in Plymouth so was relieved to find a replacement in the Bristol Cotswold Outdoor shop today (if they'd had two in my size I would probably have bought a spare). Thanks to helpful staff in Bristol and Plymouth.

Great waterproof hat for bad weather Reviewed By Brian, 17 Jun 2012

Just bought one of these for climbing in Scotland when wet and windy weather was expected. An absolute god-send, and did exactly what it said on the tin. Totally waterproof - and the adjustable velcro strap on the rear means it could be made a snug fit - which given the winds we encountered was essential!
