A stylish sun hat for wearing in towns and cities as well as under a hot Tunisian sun. The higher crown increases ventilation. To find your hat size, use a tape measure and draw it right around your head. For the best-looking and most comfortable fit, please make sure that the bottom of the tape touches your eyebrows while resting straight around your head. Hold it there comfortably and do not pull tight! The Tilley Hat fits more comfortably than other hats. It’s designed to be worn low on your head and slightly loose. It should be held on by gravity, not by painful pressure on your forehead! For the proper fit, you should be able to easily insert two fingers, flat, between the middle of your forehead and the front of the Hat. The Hat should be loose enough that you can rotate it to the left and right, and lift it up and down, without friction on your forehead. When it’s windy, use the cord!

The T5 has all the classi8c features of the Tilley range, but with the narrower brim is a little more stylish, for use as an 'urban sun hat', as well as out in the countryside.

Very helpful staff in-store. Bought at midday and worn by 2pm on a hot day. Comfy and cool on the head. My wife says it is good on the eye. My 3rd Tilley in 3 years because the previous 2 have been nicked!!! I believe them to be the best.

Thought about buying this for a while, finally bought a Tilley TH5 Hemp hat, very pleased with it. This is not a cheap holiday sunhat, but a quality year-round product that I expect this to last many years. The manufacturer also gives a lifetime guarantee.
In Aberdeenshire, it's a hat for cold wet days rather than keeping the sun off. The hat is much more comfortable than a cagoule hood, the brim keeps your face and shoulders dry, the hemp is excellent for repelling water and being breathable. Way better than an umbrella in town, the cords also tie-down for windy days.
The sizing is really important for comfort, 7 1/2 was too tight, the 7 3/4 too loose, the 7 5/8 was just right.

What I like about his hat, is that I immediately knew, at long last, I had found something that looked the part, suited my fine chiselled features and is a top quality product. I didn't mind paying the extra money because experience has taught me to buy the best you can afford first time round; it will last longer.
