used for Summer Alpine, Scottish winter, Biking and everything inbetween.

These super grippy gloves are as at home on alpine granite spires as they are on wet scrambles on Skye. Combined with a liner, they make an excellent glove for Scottish winter days as their dexterity means that you don't have to remove them when fiddling in gear. The added padding on the palm provides good protection when hammering axes on hard ice, and the short cuff also makes them a nice, comfortable biking glove.

Verdict: Highly versatile, they are always in my pack.

Great gloves but not that harwearing Reviewed By Mal, 26 Jun 2012

I've used these gloves for a few weeks in Scotland and the Alps. Very dexterous and great for alpine climbing but they will not last forever – at the end of my alpine trip, some of the stitching on the seams of the palm and fingers had come away but due to the reverse seams I was able to superglue back together. This was quiet common amonst the other guys who had them. Great gloves but I think I’ll try the ME Alpine gloves next time.

Not good in wet weather Reviewed By Vincent, 21 Jun 2012

I was very disappointed with how these gloves performed in a day of constant drizzel. Hands got wet but thankfully not cold. While they do give reasonably good dexterity they are not an Alpine type glove.I ended up buying the Marmot Gortex gloves at £80. Wish I had done that in the begining

Warm and light but not at all waterproof. Reviewed By Alex, 07 Apr 2012

These are great all round gloves, especially when dry and cold or below freezing. They are not even slightly waterproof, but do insulate quite well when wet through.

Excellent Glove Reviewed By R, 19 Dec 2011

I bought these in London earlier this year when I left my gloves at home. A warm and useful glove. I can operate binoculars and cameras using these gloves. A bit expensive but well made and look like they will last years.

A superb tough-glove Reviewed By Mark, 19 May 2011

I got these for some work in East Greenland and they were absolutely fantastic.

They are nicely flexible enough that you can still just about write in them and even use a camera if the buttons aren't too fiddly, but they are tough enough that they saved me many splinters and crushed fingers when lugging 20 kg boxes of drill-core around.

They kept my hands nice and toasty (though it wasn't all that cold during the day) and the leather took a real beating with only a few small cuts to show for it.

Highly recommended for any rough outdoor wear for work or sport!
