Designed as an active mountain users jacket, The Baltoro Alpine jacket takes advantage of Polartec® Power Shield® fabrics that are highly breathable, wind-resistant and water-resistant.

At less than 500g, this jacket is ideal for when a low bag weight is everything, and yet it doesn't compromise on performance or functionality.

The Baltoro Alpine has a feminine, fitted shape that allows for great freedom of movement, and the helmet compatible hood makes it a great climbing jacket. The velour backed fabric provides just enough warmth to ward off early morning chill and provides a high warmth to weight ratio. Perfect for spring/autumn conditions when it may be just too cool for a light fleece but conditions don't call for a full hard shell.

well designed and versatile Reviewed By Clare, 30 Nov 2012

I bough my Baltoro jacket 2 months ago and now wouldn't be without it. Although I originally bought it for open canoeing because of its water-resistant, windproof and yet stretchy qualities, it's also been really useful for walking, cycling and tennis. It fits well so is not only surprisingly warm, but looks good too. It has sensible velcro fastenings around the cuffs and an adjustable hood with a useful peak. If given the opportuity to improve the jacket I'd have upper and lower pockets to make it easier to adjust pocket content when wearing a rucksack hip/waist belt.

A fantastic jacket for all situations Reviewed By Owain, 03 Nov 2012

I bought this for my wife and she loved it the moment it came out of the packet. Fit's very well and looks great. It's been worn both walking to work in the city and out on the hill and can not be faulted. It's worm as a solo jacket and light weight enough to be used as part of a layering system.
In total a fantastic jacket for all situations, and would recommend everyone to buy it

Great windproof jacket! Reviewed By Gill, 10 Apr 2012

Loving my new Rab jacket. Great for chilly days outdoors. And lightweight too, so easy to pack into the rucksack. Looking forward to wearing it on my Coast2Coast challenge later this month!

Love this stylish and practical Jacket Reviewed By Karen, 01 Feb 2012

This jacket is amazing, it fits so well and the hood and neck are so comfy, unlike other jackets which can make my chin sore! This jacket is going to go through the three peak challenge with me, at least I will do it in style. It really keeps the wind off and I wear it all the time now.

Fantastic winter jacket! Reviewed By Lucy, 11 Sep 2011

A very warm jacket for winter weather and cold summer nights. Despite not being waterproof, it has held out well on many climbing crags for me. I'v recommended it to friends for a good all round jacket.

Fabulous for the dry! Reviewed By Roxy, 31 May 2011

This jacket, being alpine, is obviously at it's best for dry and cold conditions. It is amazing at windbreaking I have found and is exceptionally warm yet remains breathable. I have used it in Scotland where it did well under a waterproof but don't get it wet as it takes a while to dry! Well made jacket which I will pull out time and time again for walking, climbing etc.
