I'd never had a pair of Gore-Tex lined leather boots before I bought these and I must admit I was sceptical at first. But they're great! They get wet and muddy walking in the Brecon Beacons but they've never let the water in. The fit is excellent and even for my quite wide feet they are very comfortable. I wore them to do the Nijmegan four-day walk in the Netherlands and they coped really well with many years left in them.


Verdict: My first Gore-Tex lined boot and I'm converted!

If you want a great pair of three season boots (just), then these are the best choice...no wearing in, supportive around the ankle and an agressive sole unit that's more than capable of dealing with any UK hill.

They run a little tight, so a size up from your usual is recommended.

These are the second pair I have owned, the last ones were bought in 2006, were used widely but alas have recently gone to big boot factory in the sky!

I was looking for walking boots that would be at home in a wide variety of situations and I have to say that these boots really hit the mark. Light, comfortable, supportive and waterproof, what more can you ask for.

Have worn these boots for over twelve months at least twice a week up the Wrekin as well as winter trips to Tryfan and the Carneddau's. Fantastic fit and a confidence inspiring grip. Highly recommended.

I bought these boots as a light-weight partner to my Winter boots - Scarpa Manta's. I would describe them as comfortable (straight from the box), flexible yet re-assuring. The Vibram sole keeps your foot firmly on the bedrock giving you the confidence to move strongly.
I have not (yet ) tested them in Welsh heavy rain or boggy ground, but from what little "wet use" they have had - they have performed admirably. The boots are at home on rough trails and well trodden paths alike. Although I have not tried them yet, I can see them coping with a bit of Grade 1 Scrambling too.
A good, competent boot, ideal for Spring, Summer and Autumn walks and treks on rock or grass.

Really decent pain of boots, got called up by my mates saying where of up snowdonia, i thought great ill gram my...remembered i left them abroad. grabbed these cant find a fault so 5/5 from me. the sole is my fave part, really solid and durable, lacing easy and clear. good for hillwalking, low alt mountain climbing and ide feel happy with a few scramble's wearing these.

Super boot for first time walkers or experienced trekkers.

I bought these boots last weekend in preparation for hiking in the highlands in may. To break them in I did a 15 mile walk and am extremely impressed. Very comfy, light weight and excellent anckle support. Adam in the Peterborough store was very helpful and impressively knowlagable.

got these for work and not treking but after 6 months of using them 5-6 days a week the soles are splitting, i do love the fit and will be still buying Scarpa but a stronger boot, these are a light weight for summer use and not for use on concrete yards etc.do not be put off by my review as they do support your foot and are a pleasure to walk in but they are just not cut out for my job farming.

My old Trezetas had finally come to the end of their useful life. Now was the time for an update and I'm so glad I chose these.

On my first outing I trekked across Kinder Scout without a hint of ache or soreness. They held their grip superbly in the wet too.

My wife got the women's version (after trying on many different pairs) so they must be good. You know what women are like with shoes ;)

The best thing though is getting your feet measured. I absolutely recommend this process at the Cotswold stores as you really get a sense that they know what they are talking about and what products are suitable.

Brilliant boots. Excellent service.

I use these boots a hell of a lot - from backpacking across Dartmoor to taking the dog out for a walk and they perform brilliantly. They are very lightweight (even my pair of 13's) and comfortable. They are also very tough - I'm pretty hard wearing on my gear and they have no sign of wear; although i think the sole is a little soft. The only annoyance is they are quite large around the foot and to get them snug the lace loops are brought tight next to each other (difficult to explain); which means you cannot tie the boots down very tight if you need to when walking over difficult ground.

I bought these boots for a 30 mile hike in the Breacons and so far they are the comfiest boots I have ever owned. They are well made, provide plenty of support (especially round the ancles) and super light! I really enjoy wearing these boots and for the price, you cant go wrong! I would recommend these over any cheap budget pair of boots any day! You will not be dissapointed by these boots!!!

I love these in the warmer weather when my SLs are a bit heavy and warm. Can walk all day in comfort in these.
