Im off on a charity challenge at the end of June this year trekking in Iceland and needed a good pair of walking boots, up to now I've always used Approach shoes so initially these boots felt very heavy and made my knees and calves ache, however after only wearing them out dog walking for the last week or so, and thoroughly testing them over all surfaces and terrain (including wet chalk and totally water logged fields standing 3/4 inches in water) have to admit I've chosen well, my feet feel incredibly comfortable and I have the added confidence that I'm not slipping everywhere. I would highly recommend these British made boots for all serious walkers
