Well made and very comfortable Reviewed By Adam, 08 Feb 2013

These shoes seem like they could stand up to anything, they're very well made.

The lacing system is pretty cool too; it could possible be improved by having two systems, one for lower and one for upper part of the foot similar to snowboard boots but this doesnt detract from the fact that its already very good and feels more supportive than standard laces.

Comfort is excellent, I usually get custom moulded insoles for shoes but I haven't bothered with these as they already offer good support, including in the arch.

THe mesh uppers really let air flow to the foot well and these seem to dry out very quickly when wet too. Still, probably best for spring/summer use and I'll soon be getting the GTX version for wet/winter wear.

Excellent trail shoe for all grades Reviewed By Jonathan, 03 Jul 2012

My first trail shoe was the old version of this model and they safely guided me around my first 50 mile trail run in the Lakes with consummate ease, over open moor, bogs and the rocky outcrops of the Scafell range. I have since bought this new model on wearing out my old shoes and these are even better. Not only are they brilliant for long distance trail races but they fit the bill as an every day running shoe, along the coast or through lowland woods and fields, although I would recommend only using them on roads when absolutely necessary as the rubber wears fairly quick on this surface. They have an excellent mid sole to prevent pronation which I used to have serious trouble with, and the tread is excellent for all surfaces. They have a very light feel (and for me at least feel like a natural extension of my foot) but at the same time are strong and rugged, not flimsy, offering confidence under foot. An excellent buy that I would recommend to all.

Was not convinced but I am now Reviewed By Simon, 02 Nov 2011

Having always run in Adidas or Nike, I was not that convinced on switching to a "trail" shoe. However having now done several runs on the South Downs in them, the comfort and grip is much more suited to the running I do. I was worried about lack of cushioning but running on download you dont really notice the difference, the lacing system is slightly weird and needs tightening up after the first hundred yards (my warm up) but other than that I think they are superb and would not hesitate in buying another pair.
Last comment - they are really blue, bit of mud and they are far more presentable.

Quality trainers, very blue! Reviewed By Rob, 31 May 2011

Top quality trainers fitted like gloves, I've owned two pairs of Salomon boots and brought one size bigger again for perfect fit. Brought for cross country dog running, I wear them all the time now. There are very blue though!!

Great trail shoes Reviewed By Terry, 24 May 2011

Got these to run my first ever 10k off road race through a forest. Was really impressed with the comfort and used them virtually straight out of the box. I now use them for everyday use and running, 100 miles done and there is hardly any waer on the tread will definitely get another pair
