After experiencing severe toe pain walking downhill last year, a new pair of boots were required, but which make ?
After a visit to Cotswolds & expert advice from a member of staff, I purchased the Berghaus Explorer Trek GTX Boot.
Very light on the feet, almost like slippers, I was concerned if they were "man enough" for the Lakeland Fells.
I needn't have worried, 7 days of continuous wear, pounding up and down some challenging paths, scrambling over rocks, through wet and mud and not one twinge.
Not only were they "man enough", they were as comfortable at the end of the walk as they were at the beginning.
Plenty of grip, good support and waterproof.
They don't look too bad either !
Good choice.
