The Atmos 50 is an extremely comfortable mid sized rucksack for lightweight backpacking, long winter mountain days or weekends away.

The AirSpeed back system not only allows ventilation, but its 3D tensioned mesh conforms easily to the contours of your back. A generous main compartment accommodates the lion's share of your gear, while the floating lid and several pockets organise the essentials you need to keep immediately available. Your ice tools or poles can be lashed securely to the front of the pack when not in use but, if you quickly need your hands free to cross a short scramble, the ingenious Stow-On-The-Go system can hang on to your poles without a need to remove the bag.

Fantastic multi-day pack Reviewed By Stuart, 21 Sep 2012

Medium size back is just about airline carry-on size. The large back (with its taller frame) is about 8cm too tall so beware relying on it as carry-on with budget airlines / connecting services to trekking airports as you might get stung for excess luggage or have it put in the hold. Beyond that a really flexible pack that is the usual osprey quality and those external pockets are a great idea.
