Great kit bag

Reviewed By Jonathan, 02 Feb 2012

Bought this bag to use as a kit bag for kayaking trips and transporting climbing an walking kit when using the train. The rucksack straps are very useful for this, and are detachable, which is good if your going to put it in a plane hold.
The dry pocket comes in useful for separating wet/dirty and dry/clean kit :)
The material the bag is made of feels tough and has certainly held up to the abuse its taken so far :)
The compression straps are great for when its half full and you want to use it as a rucksack as they stop everything from collecting at the bottom of the bag.
The only problem I have had with the bag was the zip pulls to the main compartment as after a few uses the string started slipping from the plastic toggles. No worries thought as I replaced them with paracord.

Great Bag, not as indestructible as it seems...

Reviewed By Samuel, 31 Aug 2011

I bought this popular holdall to use as my main kit bag for trekking in Nepal. The tough waterproof material survived alot of battering as it was dragged around by porters and all my kit was kept fantastically dry in the monsoon rain!
The internal divider is great for keeping damp and dirty clothes separate to clean and there is plenty of space to fill it with as much kit as you want! The rucksack straps are a quite uncomfortable and I would not recommend using this holdall if you plan to carry it on your back for long periods.

The main problem I had with this bag was that I discovered it had a hole about 5 inches long where the stitching along one of the seams had ripped apart. The only explanation I could think of was that it must've caught on something when the porters were carrying it.
Despite this happening, I was able to temporarily fix the bag using some strong tape. I have not been put off this bag. I got back to the UK and Cotswold allowed me swap it with a brand new Wet & Dry 100L Kit Bag which I will make frequent use of for many trips in the future!

Monster kit bag.

Reviewed By Andy, 19 Aug 2011

I ordered the 100 litres as it comes with the ruck sack style handles for carry across your shoulders as well as the normal hand carrying ones. I know the 75 litre does as well but you can never have too much space! It arrived a day after placing the order and is an awesome piece of kit. Very well made, it should last a lifetime and the split inner is a brilliant idea. It can also be used to seperate clean and dirty gear too. All in all, a highly recommended kit bag and a third off the price too!

Fantastic hold all

Really good bag, good size and number of pockets. Tough and stood up really well against being thrown around. The compression straps were brilliant, reducing the size of the pack for shorter trips away. Overall a decent bit of kit.

Great all rounder!

Both myself and my brother use these bags to get kit between home and bases and they stand up to all environments from the hills to the desert and even to being rammed in a submarine. Perfect for anyone who travels regularly and needs a spacious yet not awkward holdall.

Best duffel on sale today!

Reviewed By , 23 May 2011

This bag is great for all types of travel ranging from a small local camping trip to a prolonged overseas trek. The material is extremely durable and waterproof (only the seam and zips will leak). They are truly great in terms of size and will compress down when only filled to about 3/4 capacity. I have had mine for about 5 years now and i can't find so much as a scratch on the surface, the shoulder straps are very useful for carry the bag and i can very often slide my tent inside the bag to protect it when travelling by plane. The water resistant inner pocket is great for use when canoeing with moist or damp kit but would advise against putting anything soaking wet inside as the water resistant zip can leak. Overall an unfailing bit of kit that is already a classic!

Great bags!

Reviewed By , 19 May 2011

These bags are amazing, they are so much better for travelling (unless you are hiking with it a lot) than a traditional rucksack as it's much easier to get things in and out. In a rucksack you have to pull everything out to get to items near the middle or bottom of the bag.

These are extremely waterproof and very hard-wearing. I've been using mine for a while now all over Ethiopia and apart from a coating of dust it is in top-notch condition.

There is a nice amount of room for keeping documents etc safe, and it's like a Tardis inside - very voluminous!

The straps are well padded so this is easy and comfortable to carry on 1 shoulder. If you've really loaded it you can use the 2 rucksack-style straps and it sits nicely on your back.

Not a bad word to say about this!
