Affordable simple torch Reviewed By Fernando, 14 Apr 2013

Be careful, in store there is more than one Hunter Head Torch and these review can below to different products.
The 10 pounds torch XL25 is a simple cheap torch for camping or manual work. As another reference says it is very hard to close it so does not expect to change batteries in a rush.
It does not suppose to be waterproof but I think it can stand up a light rain.
The strap is quite short as most torchs and it could be quite annoying after a while.
With the XL25 you can choose between 3 leds and 5 leds on, not big difference but it saves you some battery.

£10 well spent Reviewed By Andrew, 18 Oct 2012

OK, there are better built head torches, but not for hiking and not for a tenner. As I'm not using it on the North face of the Eiger, it's fine. The clip to open it could have been better but it opened and closed well enough. Light intensity and spread are perfect.

Best Value for Money Reviewed By Daniel , 20 Feb 2012

Used this head torch a lot and it has served me really well. It is easy to switch between red and white light which is ideal for military training. The battery life is really good had it for a year used at least every other weekend and only changed the batteries once! Anyone looking to convert to a head torch this is the best option without spending a fortune.

Excellent Value for Money Reviewed By , 18 Dec 2011

My experience with this torch has been nothing but good. Changing the batteries could not have been easier and the red LEDs are excellent for maintaining night vision (unlike the slide-in-place red filter style) Value for money this item is hard to beat against similar head torches costing 3 to 9 times as much!!

Rubbish torch Reviewed By Amos, 15 Nov 2011

Do NOT buy this torch. It is cheap and nasty, and once opened to insert batteries, it becomes impossible to close. Rubbish product, save your money and avoid at all costs.
