The Mountain Leader First Aid Kit is also used by survival training schools in the UK. It has been designed with the help of expedition doctor Hugh Montgomery and members of the British Special Forces medical team.

I bought this because after 18months of pestering my very clumsy (yet loveable) girlfriend wanted to venture into the outdoors with me. Hence my reason for getting such a comprehensive first aid kit. This kit is fantastic. I previously worked in the outdoor industry for several years and this kit is better stocked then what we would carry on centre and is much more compact. It comes with some very useful items such as duct tape (patching a jacket on the hill) a long life glow stick and burn gel for those of you who have ever dropped a hot pan on yourself!

On a more serious note this is an excellent bit of kit for a serious user. The kit itself is divided into different sections, i.e. burns, wound care, medication. I have added extra items to mine, a Gerber knife and small LED lenser torch etc.

I purchased this item a few mounthes ago because I wanted a brilliant vallue for money first aid kit this would ensure myself, my familiy and my friends to join us on a walk we enjoyed it however the first aid kit is brilliant inside but the down side is how do you carry it because this product is so big it's hard to carry it arround in your bag for a long period of time.
