The Belay Master is a mid-size HMS with a large rope radius and soft angles on the top bar. An integral plastic clip prevents crossloading, increasing the safety of the belay system, and it works well with most belay devices.

Great bit of kit. Wouldn't go back to belaying without one.
I've been told the plastic arm can come off and to drill a hole to secure with key ring. Mine hasn't so couldn't really knock anything off the rating.

Excellent for beginners - I was taught using one, and have since taught more beginners using one. Makes belaying almost foolproof - gate keeps the karabiner oriented correctly and provides an instant visual safety check - it will only close if the gate is screwed closed.
It can be a bit fiddly on some harnesses to fit the harness into the small end and close the gate, and it's not as easy to clip on to your gear loops when not in use as the gate can get in the way.
