An ABS shell and foam liner offer excellent impact protection for climbing, mountaineering, caving, canyoning, via ferrata, canyoning, etc.


A great range of easy-to-operate adjustment allows the Elios to fit a wide variety of head shapes, as well as altering to fit you as you move from summer cragging to wearing it over a hat for Scottish winter routes. Also making for great adaptability is the sliding vent system: open it for ventilation, close it up to keep out icy draughts. Absorbent, washable lining fabric ramps up the comfort even further, while four integrated clips retain your headtorch straps during early Alpine starts.

For £55 you're not, realistically, going to find a better helmet. The vents are a great feature as we all like climbing more in hot weather

Bought this helmet as i lost my beloved ecrin rock and to be be honest my experience of the previous elios didnt give me much faith in this model. However i have to say its brilliant, exceptionally comfortable to wear for extended periods and it fits great. The new adjustment system makes it ery easy to change the fit one handed and the flip up vents are fantastic for keeping the wind out when belaying and keeping your head cool whilst climbing. Definitely worth investing in.

Lightweight and lots of ventilation. Good protection from falling ice and rocks. May be a bit too hot for summer cragging, but it is fine for everything.
