A broad-brimmed hat that's equally at home walking through the countryside, along the beach or around town. Made from hard-wearing hemp, with a relaxed linen-like feel and appearance, it comes with Tilley's lifetime guarantee.

To find your hat size, use a tape measure and draw it right around your head. For the best-looking and most comfortable fit, please make sure that the bottom of the tape touches your eyebrows while resting straight around your head. Hold it there comfortably and do not pull tight! The Tilley Hat fits more comfortably than other hats. It’s designed to be worn low on your head and slightly loose. It should be held on by gravity, not by painful pressure on your forehead! For the proper fit, you should be able to easily insert two fingers, flat, between the middle of your forehead and the front of the Hat. The Hat should be loose enough that you can rotate it to the left and right, and lift it up and down, without friction on your forehead. When it’s windy, use the cord!

Stylish, comfortable all weather protection
Reviewed By S, 04 Sep 2013

It's been worn in hot, very sunny conditions, also in the rain. Still looking and feeling great. I highly recommend it.

Excellent hat
Reviewed By Alfie, 18 Jul 2013

This hat looks great, is really comfortable and is guaranteed to last a lifetime. The hemp fabric is more breathable than cotton hats which I've had in the past making it a great choice for the GR20 which I'll be doing later this month. The pocket in the top of the hat will fit my passport, some cash or even a boarding pass. My favourite feature of the hat is the double strap system which sits on both the front and back of your head, keeping the hat in place as you sail, walk, or even cycle! A great product; it might be expensive, but it'll last!

Tilley Hat

This is my second Tilley hat, after losing a hat given to me by my son, I love it.... Looks good feels good, and does you good knowing you are well protected against the elements.

Hats the business!

Fits like a glove, great service in choosing at Reading. Look out for me at ODI at Ageas Bowl, Turkey or southern Utah in the national parks this year!

If only I had bought one 30 years ago!
Reviewed By Alan, 14 May 2013

The hemp version is a darker colour than my white Cotton Duck one I bought last summer. I found I kept banging it on things like tree branches & up&over garage doors. This one will hide the marks temporarily. They wash easily & are so comfortable you very soon forget it is there. Worth every penny.

Great Looking Hat, not cheap but comfy...
Reviewed By Henry, 13 May 2013

I only recently just got this hat, it was the best looking one of the range available, it's very comfy to wear and looks good, looking forwards to many years wear from it.

Fabulous Hat
Reviewed By Karl, 14 Jul 2012

Conclusions after 1 week. It's comfortable, keeps sun off your head without getting too hot, light rain beads off too. Beautifully constructed and I can see why Tilley give a lifetime guarantee. I was contemplating a T3 but the T4 felt better on my head in store. If you are borderline between two sizes I suggest you go a size bigger as it is meant to be worn a bit loose. I love it.

Quality.. at a price!
Reviewed By peter , 20 May 2012

Having had cheap full brim hats that cost much less I was wary about spending so much, but as a walker and gardener who was advised to avoid the sun's harmful rays I took the plunge.
It's the best hat I've ever had... and gives factor 50 sunblock "to boot" (or am I head over heels and getting my metaphors mixed).
