A bit like 'Triggers Broom' I have had my Trangia 25 for nearly 20yrs and I have only had to replace the burner once!
I started using it when I was in the Scouts aged 10 and it has followed my to base camp in the alps and the river bank for the Devizes to Westminster Canoe Race.
It is so well designed and will have a kettle boiling in a matter of minutes. In the age of modern light wave multi fuel stoves this classic design certainly has a role to play and will be top of my equipment list when I head to a base camp, whether for a weekend climbing in the UK or a three week trip to the alps.
It is co easy to clear, it never breaks down and as long as you are careful with the burner it is suitable for people of scouting age!
