I brought this in the green and think it is great. I purchased it to be a ski jacket to stand out on the slopes but also to be suitable to wear as a casual day to day jacket. It fits the bill perfectly. The hood doesn't detach so I was initially worried that the hood would get in the way with my helmet on but actually is just sort of folds its self over. Very happy.
