For effective insulation at a very light weight down is still the material of choice. Take the WHITE ROCK JACKET for example – a 3-in-1 hiking jacket designed for very cold climates. The inner jacket benefits from a high performance 90/10 down fill and a very lightweight windproof shell fabric and provides comfortable featherlight insulation on cold dry days. For the shell jacket we have opted for our lightweight yet abrasion resistant TEXAPORE TASLITE fabric. The detailing is pared down to save weight and consists of a simple hood and three pockets.

This jacket has been a great find and looks much better than the web image shows. I was looking for a stylish, warm and waterproof / windproof jacket that I could wear for everyday dog-walking as well as hiking in the hills in all weather conditions. This is a 3-in-1 jacket, which comes with a down-filled inner that can be removed from the outer waterproof and worn on its own in dry conditions. The jacket is extremely well-made and cut to fit the female figure, making it an ideal choice for a practical, stylish and versatile jacket. I would not hesitate to recommend this jacket especially as I have received quite a few compliments whilst wearing it.
