A great midsize workhorse of a pack, the Kestrel 48 has enough space for overnight trips, days out with all your climbing gear or travelling light on extended trips.

The lower zip allows access to the bottom of the bag without having to rummage down through the rest of the contents: you can get at your sleeping bag without having to first unpack your waterproofs, food and stove! When it's fully loaded, the Airscape back with its steel spring frame comfortably transfer the load; when you're not carrying so much, the compression straps keep everything lashed firmly in place.

3 Customer reviews for this product

Tried it, love it, excellent rucksack
Reviewed By Craig, 02 Oct 2012

I was looking to upgrade an old daysack but wanted more features. It also needed to be flexible enough for an overnight camp with easy access points. Read the reviews, ordered the bag, it arrived within the timeline and has been excellent. A week in the Austrian Alps with sun, wind, rain and snow and the bag did not let me down once. Rucksack - Great features, Cotswolds - excellent service.

really good rucksack

I bought this rucksack for an all rounder mountaineering, hill-walking and a bit of climbing. The bag feels very durable and it can carry quite a bit of weight will be testing it on thursday in the Derwent Valley.
